Sanchez got pummeled.
8-0 top of 2 and Bolsinger in now. This could get historically ugly.

Is Sanchez healthy and just laid an egg, or is he still trying to pitch with the blister?
I missed the first two innings.

He's supposedly 100% healthy now.
Honestly, it's not that surprising he got shelled. It's going to take some time to get back in the groove, and the Astros can hit.
It took Happ a few starts to find his rhythm too, and he's a seasoned vet pitcher. Sanchez is still just a young pup.

He laid an egg. I gave up at 5-0 after he gave up his second home run.

Goins is just a shadow of himself. His only saving quality was defence and he's lost the ability to use his head. Unbelievable today.

Turn the TV on. 9-0, 2 out, and they hold Pearce at 3rd when Pillar hits a double? With Goins on deck?
Turns TV off.

It's so annoying having games decided by one bad inning. I watched maybe an inning and a half today.

Well, the past 10 games or show have put the nail in the coffin for me. I don't care if they go on a 15-0 run, but they need to retool after too many recent games having a run differential of >10. It shows that this team is terrible and inconsistent. No game should ever get that much out of hand, and for this to happen that many times recently has proven that it's more than just a game here and there - it's systematic and that needs to be changed.

Please Atkins blow this up properly and plan for 3 years down the road with Vlad and Bichette. Don't half arse it!

The Blue Jays have just 41 wins at the break, their fewest since 2004, when they had 39. That 2004 team went 67-94, its worst record since 1996. That's also the season John Gibbons took over -- the first time around. While the pitching has struggled, the Blue Jays' latest woe is their recent outage on offense -- they're one of three teams scoring fewer than four runs per game since June 1, joining the Padres and Phillies.

Or was it? I think Rafa could hit better than at least 3 or 4 of the Blue Jays.

Second half of the season kicks-off tonight in Detroit. Starts a 10 game road trip for the Jays.
Anyone with some second half predictions? Here are mine:
1) Smoak doesn't fall off a cliff like Saunders did last year and ends up with 40+ HR and 90+ RBI
2) No big name player will be traded at the deadline
3) Jays will finish the season with 85 wins but end up fourth in the division, missing the post-season

1) Season's done, nothing more to watch.
2) Should sell off what they can; Are pulling in ridiculous attendance numbers despite season so they probably won't sell anything significant.
3. Will start rebuild in offseason, but will shy away from calling it that, will hope that keeping Donaldson will be enough to sucker fans into buying seasons for one more year.
4) Sportsnet will hype the **** out of next season on behalf of their owner with the writing on the wall.

I have a hard time bringing myself to watch anymore. I gave up on the season two/three weeks ago and haven't really turned the games on anymore. Not that i'm a poor loser, but there's no prospect to keep me interested since the team dug a hole they can't get out of. I may start watching a few games if Alford gets called back up, and I'll watch the off game Sanchez pitches, but summer's too short to be pissed off most nights.

I gave up after game 10, their winning streak almost got me invested again, but fortunately I didn't
