For you sports fans, there is a 30 for 30 podcast that just started up. If you are familiar with the TV series, then this is similar. They are about one hour long episodes that feature a different sports story.
Listened to the first episode which was about the Reebok ad campaign for USA decathletes in 1992. It was very well done.

Have been binging them all the past couple months. Can get difficult to get through at times whether it be the descriptions of certain murders or actual recordings.

Can't get enough of the Chip Chipperson podacast. Chip is definitely an acquired taste. If you are not familiar with him, it'd be easy to give up on pretty early, but he is currently rocking the podacast nation. Yippee Ki Yeah futha muckas!

Try out Casefile, it's probably my favourite true crime podcast. The host's Australian accent can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, but the more recent episodes have been excellent and very well researched. There's even a number of Canadian crimes that have been covered by the show.

I LOVE true crime podcasts, and I wish there were more of them because I've listened to all of them.
The issue I have with some of them though, is when the hosts try to re-enact/dramatize some scenes or events. NO. It sounds so cheesy and weird. Just tell me the facts of the case or play real interviews. No need for awkward dramatizations.

For any dads out there, I just recently found 'The PodFathers' from Barstool sports. Basically just 3 funny dudes, all with kids, talking about life as dads. I relate to it quite a bit, and have really really enjoyed it.
My current podcast obsession is The Bright Sessions, "An audio drama about therapy for the strange and unusual". Season 3 concluded recently, with Season 4 debuting this fall. It's a great time to binge it and catch up before the new episodes start releasing.
I don't want to spoil anything about the show, here's the press page from the show's website. If any of that praise at all piques your interest, give this show a shot.

I really tried to like Sword and Scale for about 10 episodes but he's just so judgey and makes some wild leaps to conclusions I just couldn't listen anymore.
Have to recommend 'the flop house'. Extraordinarily funny guys that watch a bad movie (often featuring Nicholas cage), and talk about it. Two of them are writers for the daily show and some of their banter is really funny. They know one another really well

Thanks for bringing this up. I love those shows on TV and just listened to that Dan and Dave on. Very interesting. They seem to find a way to make even a sport I have no interest in compelling.

Anyone listening to Lawfare? I heard these guys plugged a few places: Vox, Pod Save America, etc., and then started listening and oh my god it's good.
If your interested in very in-the-weeds discussions about American law and politics it's great. Also ad-free.
I'm also thoroughly enjoying the PDOcast for my hockey fix and with the decline of MvsW.
Also 99% invisible is great for talking about design and then the guy who does that (Roman Mars) does a once a week podcast: What Trump Can Teach Us About Con-Law.
He gets a Harvard constitutional law professor to walk him through things Trump can do, can't do, and might be able to do through the lens of the Constitution. It's only about 20 minutes long, but is pretty informative.

99PI and Con-Law are both great podcasts.
I started listening to Revisionist History by Malcolm Gladwell recently. There is some good stuff in there although I haven't listened to enough yet to really recommend it. I did learn that Los Angeles gives private golf courses.
Mogul: The Life and Times of Chris Lighty is entertaining so far. It follows his rise as a hip hop producer in the 90's and has a lot of great interviews and random facts about the scene that I had no knowledge of as a 12 year old white kid in Calgary listening to the rap music.
Overdrive - A little Toronto centric, but pretty funny sports talk. Noodles is on it.
Barstool Sports:
Pardon My Take
The Pat McAffe Show

I tried giving Pat McAfee a shot, but it was way too over the top rah-rah USA for me.
