no i mean that rick tocchet is a good hockey man with a lot of the old school hockey knowledge that's been systematically flushed out of the coyotes org.
if you hire another like mind, eakins for example, then there's even more of a new school echo chamber.
just my opinion anyways, arizona has been bizzare to watch this offseason, and this hire seems like a rational decision, for a change.

What's been bizarre? Getting rid of an injury risk, highly paid OLD goalie, an old Captain who was holding the org back on the ice, ridding themselves of a coach who had a worse record that Gretzky the last 4 years while adding a #1 center and the best young goalie in the NHL? A multiple cup winning Dman from who is pals with OEL?
How bizarre

Don't get excited, Coyotes will be a bottom 5 team for the 2017-2018 season.

Mike Smith will be a head case in a Canadian market and the pressure that comes with it, and will also blow his knee out.
See how worthless predictions are?

It's adorable when you confuse literally any post or thread mocking the Coyotes as some sign that people actually care about that team and an invite to add some local Arizona colour.
If only Arizona had an actual fan base you could talk about these things with. Dream the dream.

Best young goalie in the NHL? ROFL. Way to drink the koolaid Jordan.
First off he's not young at all, he's 28.
Second of all Matt Murray and John Gibson say hello.
Holy cow what a delusional comment lol!! Should be interesting to see how Raanta fares as a starter. I'm not convinced he'll be an above average starter, let alone the best non-young goalie in the NHL!

oh you know the whole, 'we just fired everyone except the kid who's going to moneyball us back into contention' thing.
so yeah that whole thing.
there's a very smartest guy in the room thing happening in glendale right now.
i thought even a staunch fan would concede that.

Good lord, no. You are the homeriest of delusional homers for thinking so.
The Arizona Coyotes are unfiltered garbage, and Anti Raanta does nothing to improve that.

Lifetime In Suspension

Hopefully this hire makes being forced to watch a handful of Coyotes games a year somewhat tolerable. They've easily been the most unwatchable pile of poo in the NHL for years. Good luck Tocchet, he should do well. Say what you will about him but he's a man who's willing to bet on himself.
