Not sure how you can take Fox over Andersson. Not only is Andersson ahead in development, he also appears to have a higher ceiling.

It will definatley be a run of dmen the next 3 or 3 out of 4 selections.. Andersson, Fox, Valamaki.. Gillies/Foo might squeeze in there.

Valimaki here just because I think he has a higher floor and a higher ceiling than Andersson, but I could see voting either way.

Not sure if you can take them both over Valimaki. 16th overall pick and ppg player as a 17 year old. Fox and Andersson had good seasons, but Valimaki was further in his development at their age and should continue to be better.

This is fair. I guess I am more convinced of Andersson's upside at this point.

I made my case in the last round for Andersson. I think he's a year away from being a top 4 defenseman in the NHL. He's my pick.

What?
Fox's draft year and draft + 1 year is equally, if not more impressive than Andersson's was. Of course Anderson is a head in his development-- he's bloody older. Compare apples to apples

I'm excited we can have an argument on which stud D prospect is going to be better.

Andersson, Valimaki, Kylington, Mangiapane and Fox are all in consideration for me, but I am going with Andersson. Similar junior stats to Valimaki, but also has a good AHL rookie season under his belt. Similar offensive numbers to Kylington but better two-way game. Fox is an exciting prospect but Andersson has proven himself well at a higher level.
Rasmus has a good chance of winning a spot in the line-up this season.

Andersson, then it Gillies, then it gets interesting. Fox and Valimaki are pretty close here. We know Fox's weaknesses, but know very little about Valimaki. I prefer the more known quantity at this point, but man, its close.

I picked Anderson last round, and I'll pick him until he isn't up there. I 100% agree with Cali on this. I think he starts as the teams #6 and by the end of the year he'll be as important as the others on D. I think he's that good.

Voted Andersson but it was really tough between him and Valimaki. The deciding factor was that if I had to bet on who would play in the NHL Andersson looks like more of a sure thing than Valimaki does. Draft pedigree is completely irrelevant now.

I'll keep voting Fox until he's ranked. Guy looks like he could be elite. Obviously there are arguments to be made for Andersson who is obviously more likely to make the show before Fox simply because of his age and where he is in his development. Long term, I think Fox will prove to be the better player.

I don't see a clear spot for Andersson this year as he has three RD ahead of him.

Very much this ...
an argument about Fox vs Andersson vs Valimaki is a good problem to have.

And we might be underrating Kylington who had 27 points as a 19/20 year old in the AHL.
