Probably getting pretty tired of staying up until 1:00am to watch Johnny play.

Now Gaudreau's dad can start his new career of mowing his lawn for $100K+ a year.

Good for Poirer to show up. He's got a lot of tools and was only missing the mental side of the game. If he turns it around, it would help the Flames depth immensely.

What? But that would mean we can't speculate that he's going to abandon us and move to Philly when his contract is done anymore!

I wouldn't blame em. The only good thing about being from Philly, born and raised, is the playground where you can spend most of your days.

Just don't tell your mother when you get into a fight.

Not opposed to living in Bel-Air over Calgary.

When he's on the ice, everybody knows he's out there. He's full of energy, antagonistic. But he brings more to the game than just the feistiness/agitator-type role. He's a very important person in our team. Maybe 'engine' is the best way to put it.
Quote:
"We could put him in a skating race against anyone on our team last year and Ryan would beat him. He has tempo, pace, and that's what I mean about an 'engine.' Whenever a line was struggling, we'd put Ryan out there to help get it going again."

"His ability to get on top of people created a lot of turnovers."
Quote:
"I'm doing my job when the other team is worrying about me, and not about the game,'' he says. "I like to, let's say, take their minds off the task at hand.

"When the best player on the other team is busy chirping at me instead of scoring, that's when I'm really enjoying myself."
Lomberg isn't a guy that gets a lot of mention here, Flames could really use more of this style of player, non-stop motor, get in quick on the forecheck.

For hardcore Flames fans curious about Tim Harrison's dev camp absence, team does not plan to sign 2013 6th rounder so will be FA on Aug 15.

They could also be tired of America as it currently sits - New Jersey was a Hillary state, and being in a position to a) actually be able to move to Canada and b) have the added bonus of watching your son be a star player for the local hockey team probably make it a really easy decision to make.

Easy explanation - Eddie Lack has been traded to the Flames. So Gaudreau's dad has to move here to secure the Flames number 1 annoying dad title.

Set up Johnny's dad with a job running Calgary Flames Community arenas. Find Johnny a nice local girl. We're set!

Does she have to be nice? I see him going for more of the questionable morals type of girl. We have those too, just saying.

Good news on poirier. Looking the best he ever has at this camp. Not a lot of stand outs thus far. Parsons looks good.
