This will be interesting...
Trying to compare Elliott, who was playing in St Louis, with Smith, who was playing in Arizona, was almost impossible.
Now we can compare Smith on the Flames with Elliott on the Flyers. And we shall see how it plays out.

I wouldn't call that bold. It's probably a 50/50 proposition anyway. Good value for the Flyers and I expect him to be better next season but I'm not sure he will ever replicate the lofty numbers he put up with the Blues.

I truly hope he does well, such a good guy. Not a goalie friendly market though. Probably not his first choice but likely the only place offering more than a one year deal

Since he's in the east, I feel like I can still root for him. Seems like a great guy and teammate and he gave us some unbelievable goaltending for a good few weeks, but he could not come back here after the playoff implosion.

Just think. At the end of the regular season he was probably looking at 3 years, $5 million per from the flames.
His playoff performance likely cost him $10 Million.
