Bouma played for the Giants back in the day. He definitely has connections there.

They still have the courting window now don't they? The 5 days before July 1 where they can chat interest but not $ values?

Bouma lives and trains in Vancouver during the off season.
I was kind of hoping the Flames could deal him there this off season, because I figured Weisbrod and Benning would be interested in a player like that for depth during the rebuild.
They did trade a mid pick for Dorsett and then signed him to a Bouma type contract after all.

Looks like the Flames are one of the few teams still on Sharp's list of teams he wants to go to according to Dreger.

I'd rather sign Cammalleri than Sharp.

Williams, for sure. But I'd prefer Cammalleri to both of them.

Bouma lives in Vancouver in the off season. Or at least has the past five or six years.

I could see Sharp being the veteran that phoned Treliving.

Why? They're both 35+ contracts. In the last three years, they have the same number of points (116) and Sharp has played 21 more games. Sharp is 6"1 200, Cammalleri is 5"9 175. Cammalleri starts in the Ozone 48.8% of the time, Sharp 43.5.
Let's just sign the bigger, better, positionally-appropriate version of the same player.

I'd be more than okay with Sharp on a cheap short-term contract.

Cammy is a left shooting LW. He doesn't fit. Sharp plays both wings and shoots right

Also has much more playoff experience as a winner which is very valuable.

Sharp would be great, him and Versteeg reunited as the veteran back bone on the front end with SC experience.

This makes no sense, both Sharp and Williams bring more to the table than Cammalleri. Both are right shot larger body players than Cammalleri and both have won Stanley cups.
Your heart is much bigger than your brain it seems.
