What would it take for the Flames to land James Neal and Brayden McNabb?
James Neal and Brayden McNabb are big players and play a physical game and we can use this when playing the Oilers and the Ducks.

More than the Flames could give up, or the budget to maintain.

It would be hard to convince me that there are other teams' fans around the league that are more paranoid about size and physicality than Flames fans

Neal was taken by Vegas and trotted out on draft night (like MAF and Engelland), which they wouldn't do if he was going to be moved.
As for McNabb, physical is fine, but 2 goals is not. He's a fourth liner at best, and we already have Hathaway who can do what he does if need be on that line.

1.333 cap hit for the next 4 years to get rid of Pouliot.

McNabb is a D man, he would be a good 5th or 6th D and would replace Engelland's presence on the back end.

Don't think he was, could be wrong. Either way offer them something they like and he'll be boarding a plane to Calgary.

Hope Brouwer bounces back otherwise his will be 1.5 mill for 4 years after this year. Dumb contracts all around.

You're partially correct, although it was McNabb trotted out and not Neal. He'd be the perfect fit for our bottom pairing but as you said about Neal, for those reasons McNabb is not likely moved.

My bad, I thought he was one of the three. I'm not with it today.

I don't think he be bad as the 5th or 6th D man, he had a rough season last year but before that he had a good season.

Let's just sign all these burnouts; Doan, Hartnell, Iginla, Pouliot, Beachuamin, Lack etc etc. We'll be the best team from 2011 season.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Don't want Lack, but as I mentioned (echoed?) in the backup goalie thread a trade with Carolina makes too much sense. Scary sense.

Not interested, much prefer to have Marleau if we're bringing in a 35+ vet.
