Paul Romaniuk's Sports Select "Tips"
Have you heard Paul's "tips" on the Fan960? Holy obvious.
ex. "a club on a winning streak, will likely win again". Wow, pure genius.
What's next?
"you should wager on the club that will score more goals than the other team"
"the sun will rise in the east tomorrow"
Can you think of some other good sports gambling advice?

Mike Richards was talking about them this morning. He said he was going to see if he could get Romaniuk on to ask him about them.

It's a generic comercial. Not week specific. Does Football and Hockey picks, and they rotate the spots.
Just a little FYI.

Those are great.
"A team in desperate need of a win is likely to win".

I don't get. As in I used to in the comercial department of a radio station... I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Considering it's been the same comercial for the last 3-4 weeks too...

"a long injury list will hurt the whole team"
"consider taking the team coming off the bye"

The worst one I have herd is something along the lines of
“A team playing back to back will likely lose the second match”

The best part is that they can be contradictory.
"The team on the second night of back to backs is less likely to win"
"The team that loses the first game on back to backs will come out stronger for the second game."

I believe in the Pony Power

They actually used to have spots that changed daily with actual game picks - I forget that chump's name in them - wasn't Romanek, some other guy.
They weren't great but at least they kept the info fresh and they were actually picks.

I thought it was 'the home team' after losing the first of back to back games will come out stronger next game.
But then again when do you ever have back to back home games, might as preface that with "during an eclipse".

Whoa, you should slow down there, I don't think Paul or any of us can quite grasp that complex theory of outscoring....

Sport Select was probably losing money because everyone was taking his picks.

Every so often I also hear a guy called "The Tipster" who sounds like he's whispering his football/hockey picks. That guy cracks me up as well.
"Tipster here..."

Sorry, just throwing out there another cheesy betting cliche/line, as per this thread.
