This guy seems like he's just trying to spark stuff, saying the flames got a prospect the Oilers have obviously been coveting really bumps the retweets. This could be true but this doesn't look to be a very realizable source at all...

Need a much more credible source... searching but no one else is reporting this

If this news is remotely true some other credible reporter would've caught wind of it, this guy obviously wants be considered an "insider" so it seems like he's just making guesses and hope one turns out right.

If Edmonton is his only chance at extending his NHL career for acceptable money then he probably will.

The good part is he is well over the hill and declining quickly. The only way he could improve them at this point is with his one timer on the power play, good for a handful of PPGs.

To be fair, Russell did sign with the Oilers (with a NTC) for close to the amount this guy suggested, and the Flames did land Hamonic. While his specifics may not be on the mark, the general player moves have been. May just be luck, maybe not. I think we can all agree that it would be nice if it were the latter in this case.

I wouldn't hold any ill will towards Iginla playing for the Oilers. I think he's better off in Nashville, but the guy needs to find a job somewhere.

Well, Russell got a NTC in final 2 years, 4 million. This guy was only wrong about one piece in the Hamonic trade, but still got the destination right. Neither of those predictions were a clear bomb

I don't understand how he can't play the same role in Calgary as he would in Edmonton. For that reason I'll be a little disappointed in all parties if it happens.

Not knowing anything about the situation and whether or not any other teams are enquiring, not knowing if he's a good human being or not, you're going to sit there and judge him if he signs with some other team and has no effect on your life personally? Even though it doesn't undo or take away from his accomplishments and effort in the Calgary community, you're going to assume he's dead from this point on because of a sports game played by millionaires that only effects your life if you watch it online or on TV?
