Almost no chance we take Yamamoto with us already having Phillips and Gaudreau. I could be wrong. I think teams can only have so many of those small, skilled guys. I guess CHI agrees :P

Vesalainen is big...suzuki is listed at 5'10" 185lbs - while that isn't quite prototypical NHL size I don't know if its small...Tolvanen is 5'10 175... so under sized, but i wouldn't call them tiny.

Yamamoto is small for sure...but if he's there, i'd pick him up...Just because these guys are picked doesn't mean they make the NHL...And if guys like phillips and yamamoto (if picked) make the NHL, they can always be flipped for other assets.

I am not a draft expert, and don't suggest I am... these are the guys that seem to be elite offensive talents that might be available at 16...

BRANNSTROM! All Brannstrom if we can get him at 16..

If we go forward, I'd love it a guy like Tolvanen, Pettersson, or Suzuki fell to us..

Heard it said by several people that if Brannstrom were 2 inches taller he'd be a lock at least top 10.

Yep he's one of the most dynanic talents in the draft. But at that size he may never be able to effectively defend against a Kopitar, Getzlaf, Draisaitl, etc. Which could be critical in the playoffs. If he can run a power play but can't defend 5 on 5 what good would he be?

Last super small dynamic dman I remember being taken was Ryan Murphy. He hasn't really turned into anything special has he?

And it's not like puck-rushing PP dmen are a big need for the Flames now or in the future with Gio, Hamilton, Brodie, Andersson, Kylington, Fox

Who's reporting that? See no credible sources saying anything about a deal between CBJ and MIN.

Can this just die? this has to be the worst nickname I have heard in my life. It isn't even clever. Who came up with this anyway?

Chris Nichols @NicholsOnHockey
Dreger: I'm told #NYR would be willing to move 7 and 21 in first round to #Stars as part of a package to acquire 3. NBCSN

Didn't think the likes of heiskanen or Vilardi were that desirable. It's why I also thought that was why Dallas was so keen on trading the #3 pick.
