Brouwer's more like the white Joel Ward rather than a worse Glencross. Ward and Brouwer have very similar conventional and fancy stats, with Brouwer's being slightly better.

On the upside, it'd be tough to replicate a season this disastrous. He's almost certainly due for some type of rebound in his stats. Problem is that he's now on the wrong side of his career and whatever rebound he does have will be moderated. I'd say that the odds of the Flames buying him out before the end of his contract are 50/50.
Good read on his season here: https://flamesnation.ca/2017/05/24/f...-troy-brouwer/

My takeaway from this is how good Johnny is. He dragged Brouwer right up to his level. And by drag, I mean he hefted him like Atlas with the sky!

I mean, he's already less annoying than a couple of the recent awards hosts.

Awesome that the Flames has kept things tight as a drum. Much more refreshing than loose lips Feaster

That list of available players was very misleading, since half those guys were UFAs
