 Frank Seravalli @frank_seravalli
Closing up some of the loose ends lingering out there. Believe #Vegas takes William Carrier from BUF and Jon Merrill from NJD.

Cant wait to see what tomorrows trades bring becuase that is a poor on ice roster shaping up in Vegas so far.

Is it possible for Vegas to select someone and sign someone else from that same team? Like, could they pick Brouwer, and then sign Engelland before July 1?

			Surprising that it's Merrill.
Cammalleri with only two years left would have made more sense to me. Guy that is a top 6 FWD that is entertaining for fans, that can be flipped for picks at a future deadline.

No they'd have to wait until the 1st to sign Derek if that were the case. But thy could still negotiate with him before anyone else.

Marchessault has scored 30 goals once - could he repeat, definitely - but let's not call it a slam dunk.

Jonathan Cheechoo once scored 56 goals.

not unless the Flames traded Engelland's rights to Vegas.

I was under the impression that it was a modified 10 team clause. That being said LV would likely be on that list anyhow.

I bet the price for Washington to keep their player was higher than it was for other teams. |

I know we've got Cammy fans here but that contract is horrible considering his age. No guarantee you could ever trade him. He's only getting older and slower and his numbers are nothing to write home about. That contract is an albatross IMO. Cammalleri doesn't help you when he's not scoring and 10 goals in 60 games indicates he may be on the way downhill

FWIW Boston and now Florida have traded Smith shortly after signing him to a new contract... think there might be something going on behind the scenes.

According to CapFriendly it's true.

Full NTC in year 1 and 2
Modified NTC in year 3 and 4 (15 teams he can be traded to)

Man, I could really see Neal being flipped to Calgary.
It's been reported Vegas has deals in place where they are getting picks from teams all the way out to 2019 and 2020. Maybe the Flames send a decent prospect and a conditional 2019 1st or 2nd round pick, depending on either team success with Neal, or his re-signing with Calgary.

I just want Brad to do something to address that issue. I'm tired of waiting through stop-gaps. Get a guy like Neal who you know can score and be done with it.

Yikes...honestly had no idea that was the case.

Treliving must really be PO'd at him after this year.

I still hold hope he turns it around and think he can. He has been a terrific player in this league before and he isnt at an age that his body should be breaking down, but no question he was horrific last year.
