this pretty much sums it up. They're better, but overall... meh.
Hopefully they read this site and reaction and make a good change next year.

-Tweaks to the collar and NHL logo.
Basically when you compare these two jerseys the new ones look cleaner with the removal of piping, removal of the reebok logo in triplicate, the adjustment to the flags and arm numbers, and the adjustment of the laces.
I think they made some nice adjustments and that's really all we were told they were going to do anyway.

I have to agree with you.. if you compare it to last year's jersey, it actually looks better. I don't care much for the extended vertical lines, but getting rid of the piping is a huge plus. If only they got rid of those flags to something that matches well with the jersey. The jerseys look similar to what the Ducks have, but they don't have a Californian and American flag on.

I like the flags so I'm glad we kept them
Retros would have been the best option but I like our jerseys, and these are improved (slightly)

Fair enough - my mistake. I retract and change to "ugly vertical striping".

I'm happy with them. I find they're a marginal improvement, which is better than no improvement. I honestly expected worse.
People feel angry because they convinced themselves this would be something different even against the word of the Flames themselves. It's hard to have sympathy for that. We knew exactly what we were getting and they delivered. People will buy these jerseys just like they did the last ones, and some people won't (just like they didn't the last ones). In the end, we'll all get used to them and they'll keep selling.
In the end, it's important to remember that they DO look cleaner, the numbers and lettering is a nice improvement, and the door isn't closed on a redesign.

The non-italicized letters and numbers are thing best subtle improvement.
Cleaner - redesign growing on me already. I just hope for retro third jerseys.

Haha, my comment on the Flames reveal FB post criticising the jersey is the most liked thing I have ever posted.
Some people must like the jersey though, I received a couple responses calling me an idiot.

It would be nice to see them in full gear. Things can hang a lot differently on a person wearing equipment underneath than they do on a mannequin.

A jersey is a jersey, as long as it supports my team, don't really care what it looks like, as long as they play well.

those are sweet but on the whites drop the red shoulders and make collar red, keep the side patch. Perfect.

Huge meh for me. They definitely don't motivate me to buy one. I'll hang on to my worn out vintage red for a few years more I guess.

Not a fan at all, the black looks so forced. I'm not against black but it should be an accent, not clashing with the red.

Honestly, I think our jersey's improved ever so slightly. I love the enlarged numbers and the un-italicization of the lettering. Hopefully the next move is to the retros, but I'm not unhappy with what we have for now.

I don't understand how people are OK with this. We've had one of the worst sets in the league for ten years now, and it looks like seven more. There's stripes going every which way, there's a flag that clashes and another with a white border. It's embarrassing. As of right now only Edmonton and Anaheim have worse sets, and Anaheim is switching to orange next year.
Yes I agree there are some slight improvements with the font and piping but theyre very minor, almost inconsequential. In the grand scheme of things it's a complete disaster.
