They are not good. The vertical stripes, the flags, the piping, the reliance on black equipment, the ugly font.

They are among the worst in the NHL. Right there with Ottawa and Colorado.

I've been mining for optimism with every bit of news on these jerseys.

Honestly thought it'd be silly to not see the return of the white C, but was curious to see HOW they were going to bring it back. An entirely new design? A refresh of the classic? So interested, can't wait!

Ok... black C. Stupid, but we've all worked for 'those bosses' before. Perhaps we'll at least see a cleaned up version of what we have now. Clearly what we have now isn't good. Anyone can see that, and surely they're going to reward this fanbase's patience with something clean and proud. Though they've ignored a good portion of the fanbase that wanted a white C, maybe they're about to show us something so cool it'll blow our minds. Surely this proud organization in the midst of a rebirth and excitement to do more damage in the post-season is working on a good design, right?

Then I saw the flags. And I don't mean to climb on the hysteria train... but... #### you. This garbage was a joke when you first released it. Your fanbase, had you listened, really don't like them. There are a few, for sure. But there are also some (myself) that thought the pedestal was kinda neat. Your fanbase is trying to talk to you. The internet is LOUSY with great designs for you to consider. Listen.

Open your stupid ears and give the paying fanbase what you want. Your designs are garbage, and you're shoving it down our throats like an insolent child that can't take 'no'.

Just put some damn effort into it and come up with something good. You want the tax payers to pay for your arena, yet you shoved a terrible RBK Edge template on the ice year after year and ignored everyone asking for change. From one of the ONLY teams that continued to wear that crap template right up to it's retirement, anything less than fantastic is a failure. The Alberta flag and the black C is certainly stepping a great distance from 'fantastic'. We are looking to be the ####tiest team on the ice, yet again.
