Been told Brendan Gaunce won't be protected when #Canucks hand in protected list to Vegas this afternoon.

In some #Canucks mock drafts, Gaunce was protected but in the end he is not. Age and salary will b attractive to Vegas.

217 lbs 6'3 23 year old centre with 77 NHL games under his belt. Not a bad little piece to grab for sure, this is going to be a lot of fun to watch!

When does the trade freeze start?
Xavier Ouellet would be a steady 4/5 guy on the Flames. Would Holland take a prospect in exchange?

Trade freeze already started today at 1pm MT. Only trades with Vegas are allowed until Thursday.
If you want Ouellet you need to negotiate with Vegas

Reinhart would be such a wonderful selection. But one of the others would probably hurt their future.
With how many goalies are available elsewhere, I think Brossoit is safe.

Yep, this expansion draft is putting an emphasis on a lot of big mistakes across the league.
It's pretty funny, especially for Edmonton and Vancouver.

Yeah it was a bad trade but that happens sometimes. Chiarelli also got Talbot for a 2nd and 3rd around the same time and that helped to turn the franchise around.
Honestly, someone should be offering the Rangers picks for Raanta. IMO, he will do the same thing in a starter role.

I'm really hopeful Tre can pick up a good young, mobile right shooting shut down Dman from Vegas via the ED.
Looks like they are going to have a pretty good young Dcore that will include names like Murray, Vatanen and Brodin.
Hopefully Tre can swing a deal to get them to select Pysyk or Petrovic and flip them to us.
Do that, bring back Stone, and the D will be very solid.
