IIRC, the Flames were in the running for Lehner, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was some interest there
Now that it looks like the "A" goalies are no longer available, I expect teams with extra goalies (e.g. Dallas, Carolina) to contact the Flames to take someone off their hands

The protection list is revealed some time on Sunday. I don't know the exact time.

My hesitation on Lehner is that he hasn't been able to put in a full season on his own. Johnson is a very capable backup, so the Flames would need him as well, IMO.

I would take Robin Lehner all day. He could be the long term answer, and perhaps be acquired for a reasonable price point.

Yes to Lehner.
Big no to Legend, Ward, Lehtonen or Niemi. Elliott is better than all of those guys.

If the flames are going to go with a mediocre goaltending solution they should just go back to the well of elliott and johnson.
Either get a number 1 goalie or don't, but no assets for middling stop gap solutions.

Except they can get another mediocre goalie besides Elliott. One who doesn't cost another draft pick.

Anyone thinking Elliott coming back is crazy, the players probably have lost all trust in him. He was mentally destroyed in the playoffs, shots were going in on every angle, he's done in this city after that #### show and we have to give up a 3rd round pick for him? No way

Never.
You're acting like a grumpier, less skilled at hockey Joe Colborne.

Hamonic had a -10.2 CF% rel last season. He had 61.2% defensive zone starts, but that's really bad.

I would think if Hamonic were moving, its to Colorado for Duchene.

I am not sold on Lehner. Seems to be a typical blocking goalie who always gets beat top corner.

I think he would be a fine pickup.
