Faster than it took to move a dead deer. That's some fine police work!

I want to see his picture. My colleague and I are convinced we saw him upskirt a lady last year during stampede. We were outside our building and a guy bent down behind a lady waiting at a crosswalk tying his shoe. He was holding his phone and put it down beside his shoes. We didn't realize what we witnessed until about 15 seconds later after he had crossed against traffic and was a half block away moving quickly. We both remembered what he looked like and planned to confront him if we ever saw him at our building.

A 42 year old man knows this is wrong. If he doesn't you could probably argue for NCS based on sheer stupidity.

Even if he thought filming in public spaces was always legal, the dude was taking upskirts of underage children. No possible way he thought that could be legal.

Wondering which Calgary-based tweeter this could be.
Because I'm suspicious like that.

I didn't say he didn't know it was wrong, I said I bet he didn't realize how much trouble he'd be in if caught.

Anyone taking bets on whether this escalates into child pornography?
terabytes of information leads me to believe there could be a 'trading ring' component.
Someone said there are a bunch of these creep profiles on twitter? I wonder if they exchange the seedier stuff privately that they don't feel comfortable sharing on twitter.

Seems like the way its going to go.
If you take photos of random girls, especially at comic-con, some of them are not going to be of age.
My kid goes to comic-con.

Props to crackmacs again. That's some nice work. I heard on the Rob Breckenridge show yesterday that the cops were notified about this a long time ago and responded via Twitter that he should be reported to Twitter and they would cancel his account, case closed. I suspect CPS doesn't want that tweet to appear again.

There was already a story about a mom speaking out against the creep. The guy took pictures of her underage daughter at Comic-Con.
But I think this, as Flash Walken suggests, will turn into "straight-up" child pornography. A guy perverted and stupid enough to take pictures of children in crowded areas while showing his face on Twitter, probably isn't above collecting and distributing "worse" pictures.

If theres any comfort to be taken its that this guy seems like a one-off. Hes a crazy freak. But this isnt happening every day by a whole bunch of people. One weirdo tried it and got rather promptly caught.
It genuinely sucks that it happens here in Calgary, but we're a major City, having crazies is part of the deal.

I'm not sure that's what we should take away from this.
Even before this, people had said that Twitter is a cesspool for stuff like this. This is happening every day by a bunch of people. I mean his account was active for a year with 17,000 followers. It's not a one-off.
We are a city of a million, there's going to be some perverts out there and I wouldn't want want to live in "fear" but I don't think we should find comfort that this guy was caught. I mean, praise the cops for the swift action in this case, but there's still a lot of sickos out there.
I mean, wasn't there a story a couple weeks ago about some pervert installing cameras in a washroom and posting pictures of ladies in Airdrie. He was caught in California.
