And suddenly I need to decide if I want Link-Skyrim or VR Skyrim. Almost certainly going the latter, if the graphics hold up.

Interesting that Bethesda put fallout on Vive and Skyrim on PSVR. Looks like Bethesda's parent company opted to give a nice little middle finger to Oculus.

Beyond that though, I'm kind of happy this has been a low key E3 so far. Indicates I can start working away on my backlog for a bit.

You're right. Some good games shown, but my friend and I do game sharing on xbox (you have to do this if you have one), and collectively have a ton of great games to get through. Now with BC for the OG Xbox I'll probably play some of the series I missed out on, on top of all the games I'm already working on.

One of my favorite pieces of news was actually in the pre-show:
Ni no Kuni II is coming out November 10th!

That Hidden Agenda game was in the pre-show too, not the actual conference.

That's the unexpected turn: Canadians actually get it cheaper. It's retailing for $600 here, which is $449 US (so in a roundabout sort of way, my prediction was completely and totally correct!).

Steep Olympics is a cool idea. Olympic games are always garbage, but at least this way they can build on something that is already functional. It's not exactly perfect, but a great idea for an expansion.

Sony conference was cool, but after the last few years of insanity I think a development year is understandable. 2018 should be a wild ride and I bet I won't even have put a dent in my backlog by that point.

Spider-Man looks ridiculous and I'm hoping the final product doesn't look too different from that. We've been tricked before, but Insomniac is amazing and in a post-Horizon/Uncharted 4 world, I'm ready to believe games can look that good.

I know the VR stuff doesn't look good to people who aren't into it, but I was bloody excited. That was a great showing.

Especially since all Microsoft/Xbox exclusives also tend to release on PC.

You guys serious? I hope no one is surprised by that. All anyone cares about are the graphics and it's the same thing with the PS4 Pro. They tell you to check out how much better the games look on their expensive console because that's what sells those machines.

At any rate, this is on Bungie. They could have easily made this thing run at 60 FPS. It's sad that console players aren't offered a choice. I can choose to prioritize FPS over visuals on PC and that shouldn't be a difficult thing to do on consoles either.
