I'd trade a timbit for Kanzig, we'd give the timbit to Johnny so he can put some weight on and Kanzig could do a job related to grabbing stuff from high cabinets that short workers won't be able to reach. It's a win for both sides

Tom McCollum is actually a former first round pick, who posted a .927 this season in AHL 18 GP (12-2-4 record). He's a late bloomer in some regards (didn't post an AHL SV% over .900 until his fourth AHL season, but has been .916 or better over the last four). Pascal mentioned his name a few times when discussing Gillies/Rittich, so maybe they see him as a guy who could take the next step and be a backup next year. Chad Johnson was 27 when he finally got his foot in the NHL door, as was Talbot.
