Is Fata still a thing here? I posted that Maclean's article and a counter that came out back on May 16.

The market is chugging along here nicely in latte land, a couple of properties on the block sold in the last few weeks for some nice coin.

I'm in Canmore, the river is kinda high here.... I've seen it a few feet higher than this but it is getting up there.

A bit of minor flooding under the Center St and Reconciliation Bridge pedestrian underpasses on the north sides . City hadn't closed them off when I was by at around 5pm, so either it was just starting or not deemed serious enough to close.

Granted, I'm no expert, so who knows.

Also, 2013 peaked at 1800m/s. Cresting 300 doesn't seem that rare. It's happened in 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2014 in the last decade alone.
Yeah, I'm not going to worry too much until the dam starts filling up. Right now there seems to be lots of capacity upstream if need be. They're keep the Ghost Lake reservoir right along their target for the flood season, not really holding any additional flow back yet.

Not anecdotal. There was, and still is, a very healthy snow pack this winter.

Snow levels seem to have really plummeted over the weekend. Hoping this means a stress free June.

Curious to see what the long-term forecast would do to water levels should it come to fruition...

A little bit of rain on Thursday, then almost 100mm over the course of 3 days, and more in the long-term.

They are usually not great with predicting much of anything 3+ days out, so I'm guessing those numbers will drop once the weekend actually rolls around. Weather Underground is also predicting rain for the weekend, but only around 30-40mm.

Looks like they've lowered the Ghost even more just in case:

Good news is they updated the totals and its much much lower then what it was yesterday. Still getting a bit nervous.

CTV news says the rain has been erased from the forecast for the weekend in Calgary.

Looks like we're now down to 10-15mm tonight and then just lower chance of showers for the next week. So much for the floodpocalypse

From over 150mm in the 7-day forecast two days ago, to less than 10mm today. Hah.

Bow up to ~425m3/s at the moment, somewhat high, but it's been trending downward from about 4 in the morning when it was at about 450. Still, it's gone up over 100m3 in one day.
