Thanks everyone. Today was brutally hard, but I know keep it will get better with time. Thanks to you all for checking this thread, because I personally​ avoid it like the plague, except for times like this. I don't deal well with grief, but it's nice to know you are all out there.

I have been on both ends - ones that lived longer than was ever expected and some that went too soon. I find the pain isn't different, but it comes out in different ways. For me, this meant I felt injustice and responded with anger on the ones that left sooner than should have...

All the same gives a deep appreciation for the time we get to spend with loved ones, whether another person or a furry one.

And by the way, thank you for giving her a life worth cherishing. She had a rough start but a loving end, because of you. Short as it might have been, I am sure she wouldn't have had it any other way.

I would also like to add my deepest sympathies. Gone way too soon. Take care of yourself. Grief is tough. Post some more pictures on here of Wren. I know we would love to see them.

I had to put my 2nd dog down yesterday. Poor guy developed something develop in his intestines that wouldn't let anything thru. He lost 17 pounds in the last 7 weeks and lost his appetite. He was as loyal of a dog as there was and we always felt safe when he was around. I'll miss my Sawyer. 14 years with a dog in the house...it's a bit strange today.

So do cats. When my first cat Chasey died when she was 12 it was like I lost a sister. That was also my first experience with death as I never really knew family members who had passed away before that.

My best friend is gone but he left the world so much better. There are 14 little terrors running around with his dna, his strength, his stamina, intelligence and desire to love. We traveled around the mountains together for many years. I wanted to show him every spot I knew, every place that meant so much to me growing up here. Ironically, he showed them all to me.
