Thanks everyone. Today was brutally hard, but I know keep it will get better with time. Thanks to you all for checking this thread, because I personally avoid it like the plague, except for times like this. I don't deal well with grief, but it's nice to know you are all out there.

			Sending you love, Oilers Fan.
I have been on both ends - ones that lived longer than was ever expected and some that went too soon. I find the pain isn't different, but it comes out in different ways. For me, this meant I felt injustice and responded with anger on the ones that left sooner than should have...

All the same gives a deep appreciation for the time we get to spend with loved ones, whether another person or a furry one.

And by the way, thank you for giving her a life worth cherishing. She had a rough start but a loving end, because of you. Short as it might have been, I am sure she wouldn't have had it any other way.

I would also like to add my deepest sympathies. Gone way too soon. Take care of yourself. Grief is tough. Post some more pictures on here of Wren. I know we would love to see them.

I had to put my 2nd dog down yesterday. Poor guy developed something develop in his intestines that wouldn't let anything thru. He lost 17 pounds in the last 7 weeks and lost his appetite. He was as loyal of a dog as there was and we always felt safe when he was around. I'll miss my Sawyer. 14 years with a dog in the house...it's a bit strange today.

That's really sad. 14 years is a long, long time. Thinking of your family tonight.

Dogs become a part of the family over the years making their passing most difficult to deal with.
I thoughts are with you and your family Sylvan.

So do cats. When my first cat Chasey died when she was 12 it was like I lost a sister. That was also my first experience with death as I never really knew family members who had passed away before that.
