I've been pissed and I've been stoned but not once did I ever 'not know' I was high as a kite, I might have been so stoned I didn't give a crap, I can remember riding my bike home like that when I was in my teens, but I always knew I was a mess.

depends on the drugs I suppose.
some of those pain meds he probably shouldn't be driving on one, let alone mixing them.
if he's on a serious painkiller, he'd be pretty stupid to add another to the mix. I won't jump on the guy any more until/if we hear what he was on and what he was mixing.
but at least people can stop praising him for realizing he was wasted and pulling over for the safety of others. that obviously wasn't the case.

I had oxy for a leg injury once. Wonderful stuff.
I can see how people can get addicted easily.

What I'm kind of surprised about is that Tiger Woods who has a net worth of $740 million dollars doesn't have a body guard with him or living on his property with him that might be sitting there going "Hey Boss, your clearly wrecked, best let me drive".
Most of these celebs or mega celebs usually have a traveling posse of assistants, and body guards, and suckups with them at all times.
This isn't a failure on Woods' part, its a failure of the Hollywood entertainment establishment.

Yeah, it was actually a scary drug when you come off of it.
You know you have pain, but its disconnected from you and floating around out there.
In fact everything kind of disconnects and you feel like your in warm fuzzy slippers.
I remember being on it after getting my knee chopped up a few years back and the comments from people around me is that I looked way too relaxed, way to happy and I tended to nod off a lot.
I also remember when it came close to the time to take another dosage, my mind as fuzzy and disconnected as it up had a visualization of a countdown clock the size of a bill board, with the movie guy voice doing a countdown.

Well yeah as it's pretty obvious he didn't pull over for the safety of others. He pulled over because he was passing out.

By all accounts Woods is a socially awkward loner. He'd probably be even more miserable if he had an entourage of people he couldn't stand around him all the time.

it means that Tiger went through exactly the same decision process that any drunk driver went through, he knew he was effed up but figured he could get home ok.
The only difference is he might have thought that it wasn't against the law to drive hammered on drugs even if it was stupid, I am old enough to remember when no one really cared about driving drunk, the consideration was just whether you could get the car back home in one piece.
That said Woods can afford to catch a cab, unlike me and my mates back when we were teens so really he has even less excuse, he didn't even have to go pick the car up the next day, he has PA's for that, and no doubt he has more than one ride, this is just a wholly idiot move on any level.

Has it been confirmed that he was somewhere else when he took the medication and was on his way home or did he take the medication at home and so looped he decided to go for a drive? Apparently he just had fusion surgery on his back last month so it is possible he doesn't have a prescription problem and simply erred by taking too much or in combination with other medication.

Long before you hit things and pop your tires you know you are too effed up to drive, whether you got into the car as sober as a judge and then it came over you when you were driving or staggered out of your house unable to see where the key goes to open the door, either way he should have pulled over long before he started playing bumper car with what ever he hit before he passed out.

I saw a report that indicated he was arrested driving away from his home and restaurant. the map in the article layed the map out something like this (each word representing a point on an imaginary map of the area around Jupiter, Florida):
home
.......................restaurant
.................................................. arrested here

The other part of the story that doesn't quite add up is that he was arrested at 3:00 am. When did he go to the restaurant and when did he take his meds?

Tiger Woods "Transgressions" Thread - Golfin' Ain't Easy
Lol scrap that part of the post- was watching a replay listed as "breaking news"- my bad!
Not much going on in that area of Jupiter at 3am ; hope he didn't hit any of the little bunnies that live in the bushes near the roadside!
The one tire looks like it was slit. Not saying it was; just looks that way.
