Really? I don't have a personal list of people I would like to see banned so I can't think of anyone off the top of my head that I think should be banned.

I remember ten years ago when Woods and Federer were spoken of in the same breath as if there was some comparison as to their stature as professional athletes. People would argue about who was more important to his respective sport. How the mighty have fallen, or, you know, in Fed's case, not.

first off, it is a good thing he did not cause an accident while driving. it is pathetic that someone with his wealth and life experience put himself and other in danger. it is not like he could not afford to cab it.

anwyas, I feel for him as a father, as he will have to sit down with his kids (11 and 9) to talk about this. secondly, they can obviously go on the interent ad find all the details on why he is no longer with elin - sometimes kids should not know allt eh details of their parents transgressions.

I'd assume he likely wrestles with a lot of demons like:
* unfulfilled destiny
* become somewhat irrelevant in a sport in which he dominated
* it is difficult for him to go anywhere and not be recoginized and perhaps he is very isolated

hopefully he can find a way to live the rest of his life privately.

Remember their Gillette commercials they did together. They were seen as the pinnacle of their sporting professions. I do think ultimately Woods was more important to his sport as golf has taken a nose dive since he has no longer been a factor. Tennis is more international and has persevered despite not really having any big name American players since Agassi and Sampras or Roddick to a lesser extent.

see, I don't get this comment if it's sincere.

poor guy?
screwing around on your wife with a dozen women for years, just as one example, isn't "making a mistake"
maybe sleeping with another woman just once is a mistake, but this is a sleezy jerk who finally did himself in by getting caught.

I see this as someone who make his own bed. or maybe the chickens coming home to roost. take your pick.

and for the DUI, that's not an everyone makes a mistake, poor guy.
that's a jerk who made a choice to drink and drive when he likely had many other options. probably figured even if he got stopped, being Tiger would get him out of it.

maybe if he hasn't been a jerk to everyone his whole life, he might have a few real friends to help him out. I don't know.

I just feel sorry for his kids.

Probably best to just ban every single poster. That way we proactively prevent any racists/sexist/offensive comments right off the bat. Only Sureloss can post news about hockey.

Did Nordegren do anything to deserve being cheated on repeatedly? Has to be pretty humiliating for her when everything became public. I don't know the details or their relationship but it probably hasn't been great for her as well as the kids.

That would work for a bit maybe, but I bet some people would just make a new user name

What a letdown.

Actually the only comments that seemed inappropriate were focusing on his wife's looks.

Seems like a real Good article. I skimmed it due to lack of time. Did they mention the part where a doctor linked to Woods got caught crossing the border with an illegal steroid, near the time of Woods' initial decline? Cause that's what my cousin always told me, but I never read anything official on it.

I've always wondered if it's true, or just some irrational Tiger hate by my cousin. I'll have to do some digging when I have time.

Thanks for the link to the article, I'll try and read it tonight. sad to see the dwindling career and life of Tiger though.
