The Ducks have strong management, drafting, and a good young d-core. But there's nobody on the horizon who will step in to the shoes of Getlzaf, Perry, and Kesler. So they'll continue to be a good team, but their window as a contender is closing.

If you're saying it to a guy what else could you possibly be insinuating?
When I call someone a mother ######er I'm not insinuating anything about their actions with their, or anyone else's, mother. No one reads into the deep meaning of colourful language unless they're looking to be offended.

Yep, sorry I misread your post as saying it's not homophobic at all, not that it's weak.

am I the only one who thinks that the preds would still be where they are with shea weber in their lineup?
Probably in about the same position but it's hard to say.
Only thing that may have happened is that by removing Weber (and a full year without Jones), it opened up the room for Ellis and Ekholm to take that step forward this year.
I mean he said c**k sucker, that's a pretty weak bar to be a homophobic slur.
Probably easier at this point for the league to provide a list of acceptable swears. Whether or not mother****** makes the cut will say a lot about how the league regards incest.

No, I think that as well. Weber was really good in Montreal this year. I thought the Preds got the better of that deal, but mostly for the latter years, not this year. I didn't really notice Subban that much this series.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Sam Steel tore the dub apart this year. Wouldn't be super surprised if he turned into a Giroux caliber player. He won't dominate physically like Getzlaf and Perry do but he could be a real good player for a long time.
Of course, he could also go full Baertschi, so we'll have to wait and see what happens.

I find it funny that he complains about 7 games in 13 days when it's all in how he wants it to appear. He could count the day off before game 1 of those 7, that would make it 7 in 14 days. He could also count the day off after the 7th, had they won. That would make it 7 games in 15 days which sounds even better. So in the end, it sounds like a weak ass excuse if you ask me.
