As I said guy, the bully mentality on CP is strong. It comes out in full-force when someone does not exercise the same thought process as you.
Keep at it, maybe you'll grow up one day?

That's true, I guess. So let's just ask you directly. Are you a trolling Oilers fan?

Ummm... how would I do that here.
My vent is usually that the Flames, organization and players, owed us better then we got. We pay money for this ####.

Or, you could answer the direct question.
exactly what monies do you personally spend on the flames? are you one of the owners?
I have found people on this board to be respectful when differing views are posted in a respectful manner. If you are receiving a different treatment, well a person can only draw one conclusion.

Players have come and gone over the years on every team, but the Oilers will always be the Oilers.

Thanks for answering. Keep in mind that you pay for seats in an arena, pay a merchant for an item of clothing, and pay a TV provider. All hockey related revenue for the NHL and NHLPA. Monies that you nominally spend "on the Flames", but in reality you are spending it on the NHL entertainment product. Parking, beer, or food that you consume, depending upon the "non hockey related revenue" portion of the CBA literally goes much more directly "to the Flames".
Important distinctions.
You must also know that sports are cyclical, and all things being equal, each team has the same opportunity as any other to excel each season.
If you are so unhappy with the Flames, who appear to be on an upward trend, perhaps you could cheer for another franchise?

WTF, the NHL teams take a cut from most of the things you listed. We must be cyclically bad for years I guess?
Why change when your profits are maximized?

Kesler each & every time. Anyone who supports the Oilers in anyway, & by proxy their greasy underhanded backgammon ways of acquiring players, is not a Flames fan end of story for me.
There are no stupid questions just stupid people.

?
NHL teams don't "take a cut". This must be your first CBA. That has provided me with some insight into your threads and takes. Thank you for that!
All NHL related items are negotiated into or out of hockey related revenue. This number is important because the NHLPA and the NHL use this number to establish Salary Cap Ceilings and Floors.
Non hockey related revenue is important because it helps to run the organization outside of player expenses. Things like Parking and Concession sales likely accrue to the owner/operator of the facility, and this is usually (but not always) the organization that owns the team.
What profits exactly are maximized? And what do you mean by "we must be cyclically bad"?
If you have spent any time on this forum reading, you will know that many Flames fans debate how best to draft, develop, and trade to advance the team in a salary cap world. Other team forums debate exactly the same thing.
If you want historically bad, terrible cycle development, i'll politely ask you to do a review of the last 11 years of your "other" team, the oilers. While you are at it, why don't you look into the justifications for the new arena especially around non hockey revenues.
You aren't going to like this next part...but perhaps you could spend more time reading and absorbing some of the excellent and knowledgeable writing on this site.
