He would get teased all the time for it, but I would never get teased even though I'm an Ontario-born guy that loves an Alberta team for an even more childish reason.
The funny thing is... how has my entire age-group NOT grown up with a softspot for the Ducks? It'd be curious to see how public opinion shifts when/if they switch back to the jade and eggplant jerseys.

Corporate branding and synergy don't really instill much emotional response in me. Disney owned the team and branded them the Ducks to play off the movies and vice versa. Plus putting "mighty" in a professional sports team's name was silly, especially coupled with a distinctly unmighty creature in the lowly duck.

Predators in four. Ducks score zero goals. Has that ever happened? It's about to happen.

I will say Preds in 6. Really want to see those Ducks crying while waiting to shake hands, especially Kesler.

Only PK could get fined for getting crosschecked to the head and kneed to the face.
Way to clean things up NHL

It was a marketing disaster 10 years ago when the SC final was Anaheim-Ottawa.

This is a great game so far. Fast paced, gritty and just fun to watch. Hoping for seven games!

Haha, what? I was mentioning it for your benefit so you know where everyone is posting if you wanted to join as no one posts in the series threads for games. Jesus, such a hostile board at times.

I wasn't being hostile at all. I thought that you were directing me to post there instead of this thread for some reason.

Well I was, but only so you wouldn't be posting with yourself, not because I thought someone posting in the wrong thread was an injustice, lol.
