Another good episode. I really found myself pulling for Gaeda, and really saw the conflict in Colonel Tighe.
And in case anybody was wondering where the guy who played Billy went....

Great episode. I particularly liked the scene where they were about to ejected Gaeda out the airlock. You could tell Gaeda felt guilty about his time in Baltar's office despite all the information he fed to the resistance. He was prepared to die without defending himself.
Starbuck really drives me crazy. When she sat at Gaeda's table only to give him ****, I felt like reaching into the tv and slapping her silly. And when she was telling him to beg for her life (which ironically ended up being what saved him). I admire Anders for having the balls to stand up to her -- I'm enjoying his character more and more even though at first I didn't really care for him.

The last episode was the best episode of the season so far. I am so glad they got out of that New Caprica story quickly and back to the basics.
The hybrids were really interesting and I am really enjoying the series turn to focus on the cylons now more than the humans.
Also, I am glad Starbuck is back with the short hair. She is hot.

Loved the part where Adama kicked Starbuck out of her chair. Hopefully she'll go back to the good fighter pilot out-of-the-box thinker instead of the annoying "I'm so hard done by so I'm going to be a jerk to everyone" character.
So what's the deal with Baltar "projecting'? Is he a cylon? I doubt the writers would make it that obvious, but I am curious about how they will explain it or even if they will.
What going to happen to Tigh? Seems like they're setting it up for him to off himself. Ellen is gone, he's in a fight with Adama, lots of leftover anger issues, back to drinking and Helo seems to have usurped his position as XO. I don't think this is going to end well for Tigh unless something really big happens to him in the next couple of episodes.

I’m a fracking Cylon. Probably because I am a Canadian, which fits with the theory I posted in this thread way back on page 1! It was a 3 way tie though, so I was almost Starbuck. Boomer is a probably a happy medium.

No way is Baltar a Cylon. If he was, they wouldn’t have sent him to that ship. Then again, he was in a EVA suit, so maybe it is just a twist.
What do you think the odds are Galactica is going to get its hands on some cool Cylon toys? I can tell you one thing for certain. If I was able to get my hands on a virus to kill them all, it would be an easy decision. Genocide to the tune of my whole race needs to be paid back in kind.
Then again, according to the quiz, I’m a fracking cylon (and a hot asian lady) so maybe I am just confused about my motives.
I was sad to see Pegasus go, it was like losing a character. But a good death for "The Beast".

Loved the "Let's Get Gaeta" episode a few weeks ago . . . . probably one of my favourites of the entire series.
Tigh's death spiral back into self pity and alcoholism should take us into a suitably dark place.
It would be pretty disappointing if Baltar were actually a Cylon but the habit of "projecting" the environment around him makes it oddly coincidental with how the Cylons themselves actually live . . . . . I'd prefer to think of him as a fatally flawed and more-than-slightly crazy human.
You just know the "Cylon In The Tub" - the living embodiment of a Cylon ship - will probably force her way into getting a "vote" sometime in the future . . . . something is up with that storyline.
And the probe seems to have been left by earlier humanity on the Exodus from Kobol . . . . since the Cylons are only about 40 some years old it couldn't be directed at them specifically. Could it?
The demise of "Fat Lee" was pretty rapid.
Some articles recently:

An article about the spin-off "Caprica" series:

Those on the left would probably find this column on "Battlestar Galacticons" fairly amusing:

I agree, the Fat Lee loss program was quite drastic.
I love the complete mind screw job of Starbuck with the kid.
I dont see Tye killing himself, I see more of a suicide mission where he tries to kill himself but kills a bunch toasters in the process.
Where does Lee fit into this now with Helo as the second, is Lee the viper head again?
All very intersting - I also want to know more about the 5 Human/Cylons that they dont want to talk about.

The Leoben/Starbuck sidebar storyline has been one of my favourites right from season one . . . . he really screwed with her head with the kid. We'll see that storyline again. Also, Leoben is clearly the religious fanatic at the Cylon parties.
I don't think Tye is going to see Earth . . . . he's emblematic of those guys who are much more comfortable in war but struggle with peace . . . . he'll die in some suitably heroic fashion just before they get there.
Why do the Cylons need a homeworld? They can "project" any world they want. So why is Earth important as a home, beyond denying it to humanity?
I think the last show saw Lee Adama as the Viper CAG, hence his banishing Starbuck.
Since they're crammed to the gills on Galactica with refugees, are they going to hijack the abandoned basestar for living space?
And how much do-do is Baltar in now that Six has figured out he knew about the "foreign object" on the basestar?
Love the season so far.

Jumped in a bit late so sorry if this has been posted.
'Earthlings' or Christians at least seem to have far more in common with the Cylons than the Gatacticans. The primary thing being the belief in one god, not many.
Will the producers ever reconcile the fact that people from the 12 colonies believe in many gods, while people on the 13th or lost colony (more or less) believe in a single god?

They probably have to first explain how it is Cylons, an artificial construct from only 40 or so years ago, suddenly "got religion."
Secondly, maybe you, an Earthling, are a Cylon and that's why the Cylons want to get here.
Third, statistically, it would be interesting to look up how many people on Earth believe in one God versus many . . . . the numbers might be closer than you think.
One of the best articles on Battlestar/religion is at Beliefnet.com at this link from about a year ago:

EDIT: Another article at Beliefnet, "The Souls Of Cylons."

Well, the Base Star IS a cylon, so I would expect it to be as sick as the rest of them. I think it was glowing a little green when Boomer (now Athena) found it. I wonder if she’s infected already? Hope not, that character has been through a lot in the past couple seasons. I still expect her to ultimately be forced to betray humanity.
I expect Saul to find earth. And religion. And a new best friend in someone who shares his current worldview – Tom Zerrik. That scene where Adama confronts Saul and Starbuck, handed him the sidearm and asked him to shoot was amazing.
Speaking of, I think it will be Adama who goes out in a blaze of glory. Perhaps at some point we will get to see “Husher” get into a Viper? They still ought to have his original one kicking around somewhere. Wasn’t there something in the scriptures about how the leader will get everyone to earth, but not see it themselves? At the time the president had cancer, so it looked like she was the one with the black sails. Now, not so much.
Lee got ripped WAY too fast. They could have had a lot more fun by not hitting the reset button so quickly. Lardass.
If the Chief and Kalee are both on deck looking after Vipers, who’s watching the kid? Does Galactica have a daycare now? Maybe Starbuck should ask for a job there.
As for Number 6 and Baltar – my favorite dynamic on the whole show – she loves him. No way she turns him in.

It would be nice to see a prequel like "Caprica". I hope they do go ahead and make this show.
