My guess is they just drop the flags but the rest is pretty much unchanged (maybe a different shoulder patch instead).
As you mentioned it doesn't sound like the Adidas jerseys will be a big overhaul league-wide.

Oh for sure, but in fairness, our yellow/gold is a bit orangey, but definitely not a vibrant orange like the Oilers, Flyers or Islanders

I wonder if they all get that three stripe armpit look like the World Cup jerseys. If so that changes the Flames jersey quite a bit because they already have a busy armpit to their home and away jerseys.
Would be interesting to see the same jersey with the crap from under the arm, and that silly broken stripe on the bottom gone.

I still prefer the white C myself, but I think I like the yellow/gold more than the black. The Big advantage to a yellow C IMO, is you can wear on both the home and away jerseys.

Someone mock up the current jersey without side stripes, and replace the flags with the new alternate patch... Could be close to what they are going with.

Does everyone really hate the flags? I kind of like them. Probably more to do with my geeky obsession with geography and history than my aesthetic appreciation of the jersey.
The retros are flawless though.

Yes. The Flames are neither Canada nor Alberta's team. Just doesn't make sense to me and the blue Alberta flag sticks out so badly on the jersey. There are way better ideas for a shoulder patch.
