I think the line of thinking is that Gaudreau has played RW on both the PP and at the World's and been successful doing so.

I am hearing the same thing. The rights to pending UFA goalie Ben Bishop to Dallas for a fourth round draft pick. Should be announced soon.

Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
Versteeg - Bennett - Lazar
Ferland - Jankowski - Hathaway
This team would look so much better if you could use even half of the ~$9M we have tied up in Bouma, Stajan, and Brouwer on a true top line RW.

The sad thing is that half of that so called 9 million was spent on a "top line RW" last summer...

With Darling/Bishop traded, we'll see if teams in need of a G come calling on Detroit for Mrazek/Howard. Wings I think would listen on each
I'd take a long look at Mrazek as an option here.

His stats last season would make Elliott blush. Part of that may be due to the fact the team simply wasn't that good. Could be a good opportunity to buy low.

Yeah, the team wasn't very good, but yet Howard had pretty stellar numbers in 26 appearances. (0.927 / 2.10)
Kind of a red flag, but just goes to show you never know what will happen. This time last year Mrazek looked like a young franchise goalie in the making and someone the Wings wouldn't trade for nearly anything.
