McDavid is gonna win the hart but the truth is he isn't even the MVP of his own team

So a team dominates the period and they hardly mention it, yet Russell makes one good play and spent the rest of the period chasing had an excellent period.
Shakes head.
The only thing these dummies have right is that Talbot is the only reason why this series is pretty much in a game 7 and pretty much why the score isn't 4 or 5 to 1.

He gets into his own zone and his controller battery runs out of power.
There's a debate about whether McDavid is the best player in the game. But the best player in the game is the guy in Pittsburgh who plays like a rabid wolverine in all ends of the ice.

Simpson at the end of that period wasn't even a homer broadcast
That was a minor hockey helicopter parent, who may or may not have brought a cowbell, yelling at the 16 year old ref. Level of homerism

Has Crosby always been this way though? Will McDavid learn to play better in his own end? I would think so. I have seen him hustle in the neutral zone to retrieve pucks but he doesn't look good right now in his own end and doesn't get involved enough. Good for the Ducks, keep playing that way McDavid, please and thank you.

COULD HAVE. BREAKS. Ok Ron.
I used to cherish MacLean's ability to make any game feel important, now he's a drooling pun-spouting cheerleader. Reminds me of Gene Principe at this point.

Yep. Anyone who has watched Pittsburgh in the playoffs over the last couple of years and is now watching McDavid would have zero doubt whatsoever that Crosby is a far greater player. McDavid has lots of career ahead of him where he may or may not develop the grit, but Crosby sets a bar that is way above where McDavid is now, especially as a playoff performer.

Oh snap.
To be honest the broadcast crew in this series and the panel have embarrassed themselves badly.
I've lost a ton of respect for Kelly and Friedman as well. I mean in the first series they were pretty much it sucks to be Calgary, and they deserved every penalty and bad call that they got.
Then they come into this series and start kissing Oiler a%%. It makes me feel like I'm dealing with a two faced friend that I don't want to be friends with anymore.
If Kelly likes the Oilers so much maybe he can go and work their broadcast crew next year and trade puns with that idiot Gene.

Go back and watch him in his first year, he's always been pretty responsible on his end of the ice and he had grit and fight that McDavid wishes that he had.
But at least Conner can tap players on the shoulder and say "Lets go"

That kind of play can cost you a series.

I would ask anyone suggesting that McDavid is the best player in the game right now if they could imagine Crosby floating like McDavid did in that highlight of Anaheim's goal.
Oh, and Simpson sounded about as unbiased as a minor hockey dad on that Getzlaf face off.

Crosby is the better player today but McDavid is only 20 years old and we haven't seen close to his best yet.
