Could be a good sign the Caps lost.
Justin Williams streak of game 7 wins ends tonight. 7-0 is now 7-1.
Does that mean the Ducks losing streak of game 7s ends tonight as well?
Lets hope!

Sigh. So far the evening is going exactly as I figured. Next up the Ducks will perform their version of a game 7 choke job.

Nine times.
They first played each other in the 1991 playoffs. The Caps managed to upset the Penguins in 6 games during the 1993-94 season, but have lost eight straight playoff series, going back to the 1995 lockout season.
Penguins are an impressive 9-1 in playoff series match-ups against the Capitals.

That's a bad sign IMO. If anything it kind of shows that team curse are stronger than player streaks as the Capitals game 7 streak > Williams personal game 7 streak of winning.

Putin can get Trump in the White House, but he can't get Ovechkin to the finals. It's a strange world we live in.

One down and one to go. If the Ducks can win also it will be a great ending to an evening of hockey.

I love Ovie but man he looks like he's lost a step, maybe he was hurt or never recovered fully from the Kadri hit but he was maybe the worst forward out there for the Caps tonight. He had that crazy shot but that was about it.

If the Caps couldn't do it with the Penguins missing Letang, Murray, and a banged up Crosby what chance do the Sens have?

Hopefully none, say what you will about the pens, but I'd rather see them win than any other team remaining.

Even concussing Crosby doesn't work. Ottawa is doomed.

Lots of Capitals fans said he wasn't the same this year in his return from his groin surgery.
Might have just been hard to recover with a shortened offseason but not the best sign, and defensive dmen like him don't tend to age as well.
