Spector says the call on the tying goal was "unfathomable".
You'd think a guy like him would watch hockey all the time, but apparently not if he thinks that call is "unfathomable".
Granted, if they'd called it no goal on the ice, that call would have stood up too, but they didn't. It is fathomable.
As a Flames fan, I think the best thing the Oilers can do is continue to bitch and moan and blame the refs and not themselves for that epic meltdown. So keep it coming!

For those keeping track, that was Game #84 for Cam Talbot, and as good as he was in the first 55 mins last night it appears as though he might be hitting a wall here:
Round #1: 6GP (354:27) 2.03 GAA, 0.927 SP
Round #2: 5GP (327:02) 3.30 GAA, 0.913 SP

Really happy the Oilers lost and the way they lost makes it better.
I will take a moment though to feel their pain - how freaking lucky have the Ducks been this playoffs?????
Ok, I'm done. Oilers suck.

They're unlucky to even have to play a game 6. They've dominated this series.

True. Still though, whenever the need a fluke, debatable goal they seem to get it and the review.
edit: well except the one that called called back....NM

Yesterday, someone here suggested that an Oiler loss could be the start of their own Honda Center curse.
I think they may be on to something.

Lol. He stood on his head last night.
I think he's let in one bad goal throughout the series.
Talk about trying to push a narrative.

Say, did anyone notice the Oilers fan in the Honda Centre crowd at the beginning of the broadcast with the "YOU CAN'T WIN HERE" sign?
Good times.

Well that sign is pretty stupid because the Oilers prior to last night had won 6 straight playoff games in Anaheim.

It is not a narrative.
Historically speaking goalies peter out at around the 85–90 game mark, and Talbot is coming up on that. I agree he was very good for most of the game last night, but in his last three now he has a SP of 0.874. My point here is that there are increasingly more ebbs than flows in his stretches of good play, and I expect that the trend will continue with additional games.

I understand the frustration of behalf or the Oilers fans but really allowing 2 goals in the last 3 minutes of the game with the goalie pulled is unacceptable. The bad call was just icing on the cake.

Probably why it was an Oilers fan holding that sign and not a Ducks fan then.

I think everyone agrees that Talbot was the only reason the Oilers won games 1 and 2 but he's breaking down.
Sure.
I can't tell if you are just trolling Oilers fans or if you actually believe in what you are writing. Haha.

I know we're supposed to be anti Oilers but it does seem like the ducks get all the calls (extending all the way back to our series). I don't believe there's a conspiracy but they are extremely lucky. Not one has gone against them. Not one!
