Glad to see Russell on the ice in the last 30 seconds, chipping the puck out. Say what you want about his metrics but he has heart and does what he needs to do to win. Now he is a man with intangibles and will.

Regardless, they win cause of Talbot but that's hockey. No different as when we would win cause of Kipper. A goalie is a part of the team.

A player who has lost or broken his stick may only receive a stick at his own players’ bench or be handed one from a teammate on the ice. A player will be penalized if he throws, tosses, slides or shoots a stick to a teammate on the ice. A player may not participate in the play using a goalkeeper’s stick. A minor penalty shall be imposed for an infraction of this rule.
Thanks for that.
That's under Rule 10.3 Broken Sticks, and I was reading Rule 53 - Throwing Equipment.

Any Flames fan pulling for the Oilers clearly doesn't have Oilers fans in their life, you should see the texts I'm getting. They're the Cowboys fans of the NHL

Cow tits, that's pretty close to some sort of darkest timeline happening there.

Or...
Law of averages making up for the past 10 years? Got to be.

Almost no adversity faced whatsoever to get here (more than mere blips), inhuman goaltender endurance. And after a 29th place finish? It's all pretty much unheard of.

This has to be the peak of it, at least.

Talbot has faced 36 and 40 shots in the last two games. Both ending in regulation.

Kipper as a Flame won exactly two playoff games in 60 minutes where he faced 36+ shots:

April 20th, 2009 VS Chicago
April 09th, 2008 VS San Jose

Two seperate series, not two consecutive games. And overall, we lost both those series. In the first round. We had to suffer.

What's happening is just B.S., no tippytoeing around it. This right after the Ducks just fourleafclover'd us in four games? Garbage.

Omg screw hockey I hate it. Today I'm Hockey-Hater. On the other hand it's nice to see the dirty Ducks lose.

I certainly won't be that upset if the Ducks lose. They're a dirty team full of punchable d-bags. I'm mainly just cheering against the Oilers.

But the thought of team lottery ball making the conference f---ing finals in their first playoff appearance in a decade? I can't even...just...ugh. I hate this so much. Seriously, what did we do to deserve this crap? Is this extra punishment for the Wideman incident?

Has McDiver been practicing his somersaults? Perfect 10 on that call earlier. A little push on the back of the neck and he went ass over teakettle.....

They are terrible. My second cousin oilers fan/riders fan came out of the wood work this playoff on facebook. Have not seen an oilers post in 10 years from him and now they are winning the cup apparently, only 10 wins away he says. **** off.

Any Oiler fan that gained confidence in them winning the cup watching that game must have been drinking pretty hard

trolliest of trolls

only thing the Oilers prove is that if you are the worst team in the NHL for a decade you might fluke out one year and have a goalie stand on his head and steal some games. Even a blind squirrel finds the odd nut

Oilers fans were flapping that entire time, save for maybe 2012-13 season until the McLotteryballs win. Every pre-season it's The Year, they're the worst. They've always had The Smug

I hate the Oil as much as the next guy but some of the comments tonight are embarrassing. Oilers fans have long believed we have an inferiority complex (I'm married to one) and the comments tonight simply add fuel to the fire. Can't think of a team that goes deep in the post season without their goaltender stealing a game or 2. Oilers were on their heals for most of the game and had a number of bounces go their way tonight. They still found a way to win which is more than I can say for our team this year.

It's odd, because I've definitely seen players flipping a loose stick to a teammate and not getting called for it.

But I guess they should have been.

Dude you haven't been around here nearly long enough to call out posters.

Inferiority complex, that's a good one.

And OUR team did find several ways to win this year.

So get lost.

Its true. If the Oilers don't come out with more jump in game 3 the series could be in jeopardy.
