Who do you WANT the Flames Starting Goalie To Be Next Season [*NEW POLL 12·05·17]

Absolutely without question this is the biggest off season question that needs to be answered IMO.

I've been pretty vocal about who I want, so I was just curious as to how many people feel the same way and which guy the majority of Flames fans want to see as our goalie next year.

From this list i would prefer Antti Raanta. But i would pick Juuse Saros from Preds if there was a way to aquire him.

I wouldn't mind Bernier on the Flames through I'd probs like a better goalie coach first and for most before we get a new goaltender.

Just to add to the mix of opinions, I really do think this will be a spot where Treliving goes with a known commodity. 3 years of rolling the dice, and while goaltending is always a roll of the dice, he needs to add someone with a history of winning. And that goalie having a great record against Anaheim wouldn't hurt either.

I want a 2 year stopgap in goal. #1 for next year, Gilles as #2, transition to a 1A/1B the following year, with Gilles taking over as #1 in 3 years.

Why are the Preds trading Saros? He's exempt from the expansion draft and they'll need a successor for Rinne who is 35 now.

Now is the time to find our Talbot, Andersen, Dubnyk, Jones, Lehner, etc.
Not is not the time to blow over 5m and term on 30yr+ maybe answers that are too expensive for what they bring or got pushed out by youth with nothing but potential.

On that note, I'd also see if you could get Lehner out of Buffalo.

With all the smoke around us wanting to acquire Bishop on separate occasions, I wouldn't be surprised if it's Bishop and perhaps Gillies will back him up. 13 feet of goaltenders.
