I thought continuing to ice the puck was a delay of game penalty? How did Anaheim get away with it?

Sweep is pretty bad. Oilers and Leafs both got out of a rebuild and they managed to muster up an effort, and the Flames were a playoff team only two seasons ago.

The Flames beat themselves. I was not afraid of Anaheim at any point during the series. They are not the behemoth that the Flames made them out to be. I wouldn't be shocked if they get thumped in round 2.

This team sucks.
Jesus, I'm trying to be optimistic and I get called a homer.

This is a good team that needs some more seasoning. You don't have to go all polak-like negative to be a 'realistic fan'.

Despite getting swept, we looked ten times better than we did 2 years ago against them. Progress Is being made. Fix the goddamn goalie situation.

The first couple losses were crushingly disappointing.

However after they allowed that high-stick'd goal in Game 3, I felt numb from that point on.

A combination of knowing it wasn't in the cards and losing any faith in the official's ability to call a fair and competent game.

Garbage goaltending won't get you anywhere in the playoffs.

Looking forward to hopefully getting a real 'tender in the summer.

Terrible goaltending after game 1, bad decision to go back to the same guy to start tonight.

Feel bad for Elliott the person, but he played a critical role in the end of the teams season.

Overall I am feeling optimistic. They were the better team overall, and I have no hesitancy with that assessment. Even the discipline that was a big factor in the first 2 was corrected very well in the last 2.

With average goaltending I believe the Flames would've won this series, and with strong goaltending I think they'll be a contender sooner than later.

Eff you Miikka Kiprusoff!

Ugh.

Nah, still love you, but why can't we get even decent goaltending? That is so frustrating.

Where did I make a single excuse in that post? This is a good team that needs some more seasoning. You don't have to go all polak to be a 'realistic fan'.
Don't mind them. Some people are bound to be emotional after that series.

What are the Flames now 2-14 in their last 16 against Anaheim? 1-8 this season alone. Its definitely a massive obstacle they need to figure out.

He was terrible 5 on 5. Just can't find his game without room to dance around.

Oh shut up and go back to HF Oilers already. You are like the 10th Oilers fan to come here pretending to be a Flames fan this season. It's old and tired.

Tough pill to swallow should be a 2-2 series at least. Brutal they lost game 3 after having that lead. Team is moving in the right direction.

The team moved on from the Iggy-Kipper era 4 years ago and have made the playoffs twice with some very good young players.

Leafs would have been swept already with Elliott in goal

The Oilers mustered an effort out of a rebuild?

At which point late in the DECADE of rebuilding did that happen?

Lol, you are a troll.

If you factor ice time and salary into the equation, he was outright terrible. I pray to dog he bounces back next year as this year he was outright horrible several times.
