So ducks are down and Carlyle changes the lines for a spark and it works. I would like to see GG try that.
Gaudreau-Bennett-Ferland
Versteeg-Monahan-Lazar
Tkachuk-backlund-frolik
Chiasson-Hamilton-Brouwer
Anyone else have thoughts on line changes?

Young guys tend to take things more personally. He won't admit it but he was probably hurt some what by the lack of support. It is noticeable he doesn't even smile like he used to.

sure seems like calgary isn't taking chances to finish their checks to my eye... there were several chances Calgary had to lay a guy out - cleanly - and they didn't take it...
momentum switches generally occur because of:
1) a Great Save
2) Big Hit
3) Great Cycle
1) looks pretty unlikely... 3) possible, but haven't seen too much of that and a great cycle can be started with 2), which we really have yet to do...

I've stayed away from criticizing Brouwer all season with the hopes this guy is actually a "playoff guy"..#### that .. he's a bum.

It's up to guys like Lazar to use their speed and finish checks hard. Get the building going. They can't feel sorry for themselves with that start. Man up and get the next goal.
They are playing way too slow. There has to be some pride shown.

Gulutzen will die with his timeout in his pocket icing the exact same struggling lines. Amateur coach.

Hard to be overly critical of the team given the beer league goaltending they have received. The muffin on the first goal was so predictable but even worse Johnson immediately kicks out a nice juicy rebound that Elliott would be proud of. Is this rebound control some new coaching method employed by Sigalet?

Love the Flames too much to turn it off. Lots of time left after the season to dissect the team.
Next goal wins. I say the Flames win this 5-2. Chad Johnson leads the Flames to the cup and gets a 6 year, 36 mil deal in the off-season.
Dare to dream.

Another period of shutout hockey by Gibson and the Ducks. The way it's going, they could shut out the Flames for 5 straight periods in Calgary, including OT on Monday. Just not enough pushback.

I did too. Seeing him become a fan favorite everywhere he played I thought he would surely come around. I was so wrong.

At this point maybe draw line combinations out of a hat.

Don't forget no Elliott and no Johnson next year. Should brighten a few spirits around here.

I legitimately feel bad for Elliott. Came here, was crap, turned his game around, everything was looking great, and then he costs himself 16 million dollars in a period and a half.
Good luck in the future, Moose.
