excited to see Lazar and freddie Hamilton in (too be fair, i didn't think either bouma or stajan were horrible), but sometimes a little extra juice can be beneficial to everyone...
they should add a bit more speed to the line up at the very least....
Not surprised about Elliott... just hope and pray that he does raise him game, knowing that we'd probably up 2-1 if he plays like he did in the back half of the regular season...

Glad Lazar is in I have a feeling he will come up big tonight.
I would love to see this line
Tkachuk-Bennett-Lazar
Slide Versteeg up with Backs and Frolik and Chiasson down with Brouwer and Hamilton

Really? I've loved Ferland this series. Just snake bitten
Johnny has looked good as well. Some forced passes into skates and some passes when he should have shot but I think the 1st line has been fine. I'd like to see Backlunds line step up. Aka our other 1st line

Totally agree. I thought Gaudreau was off in Games 1 and 2, but once he started shooting the puck more in Game 3 he looked a lot better to me. The Flames really need more from Backlund and Tkachuk.

Johnny isn't paid to 'look good' and 'try hard'.
He needs to produce on the score sheet. No question about it and he would agree with that statement.

I'd rather have Stajan at #3LD than Bart.
Too bad for Matty Franchise.

This is exactly how I'm feeling. I have no logical reason to be as upbeat and positive as I am right now. I just feel very certain that we are going to win tonight and stretch this series out until game six or (probably) seven.
I honestly believe that we just need slightly above average goaltending to get it done.

I'm actually shocked that Stajan got replaced and Wideman didn't get his shot.

I am more concerned about Tkachuk holding back and how it's affecting his game.
Should have let him loose from game 1.

We don't need Johnny to look better, we need him to be better period. I don't feel he's looking dangerous like he normally would be.
Backlund has been pretty consistent. Tkachuk is a rookie in his first playoffs. Hard to expect him to do much but I do agree it would be nice if we got more from him.

My random guess on Elliot from last game was that he didn't see much work in the first 2 periods. No excuses, but as the pressure mounted and the goals trickled in, he lost focus.
I prefer that the Flames dominate for 60 minutes, but maybe its a good thing if Elliott gets a bit of work early on.

I think he may have just hit the rookie wall as he's played much more hockey this season than he's accustomed to.
