im sorry for today. This team did everything they had to tonight. They did not take a single penalty. They out shot the other team. They out chanced the other three. They won the face off battle.

In my opinion they could be up 3-0. They have played well enough. I am honestly heartbroken. But I won't give up.

Is Gillies still with them team? I know they showed Johnson on the bench yesterday. Either way, no way Elliott should start game 4. Not a slight against Elliott, 3 of the 5 goals were deflections but a change needs to be made purely for team confidence. Either hope Gillies goes Matt Murray or that Johnson can bookend his season with all world play.

It is crazy to imagine trading Johnny but this is probably that night of the year. I wonder if another team looking for a big shakeup like Colorado would move someone like McKinnon for him and if that would be considered.

When those 2 goals are shaky boo-boo ones, particularly that 2nd one late in the period, I think you have a pretty good case for making a goalie switch. Goals like that, whose fault lie mostly at the hands of the goaltender, can really affect the entire team.

That, along with the 2 boo boos in game 2, should be reason enough to finally tell him enough is enough.

Having said that I doubr Glen wants to go back to Elliott with so much at stake. If he does, I will be pretty angry since I'm attending the game and woukd rather have Gillies have a shot. But maybe Playoff Moose can miraculously show up still. Can't see it at this point though.

Is this season a failure if we are eventually eliminated in 4 games.. Or do we take it as a positive for making it to the dance. I know it's going to sound dumb but is getting a later pick and being eliminated right away worth it? A top five pick would look really nice for next years team. I guess the entertainment for the regular season makes it a success..

This is still a very young team.
