"Kassian's from behind flying off-ice elbow/crosscheck to the back of the head (0:24 and 1:13) get's universal media praise and not a sniff of scrutiny. He is literally almost horizontal with his feet above the board level a quarter through the check and he did it one other time that game!:[/SIZE]
I don't care if it's regular season vs. playoffs, what a BUSH LEAGUE the NHL is sometimes. After seeing those emails from Bettman, Campbell etc. and seeing the data behind the Wideman Effect® I have to say I hope the Flames prevail. Just let the chips fall where they may!

I totally agree with the frustration over the officiating. By any objective standard the refereeing last night was an absolute disgrace. Game one as well.
The NHL will always wait until a player is hurt. Until then it's considered hockey.
No one knows what will be called a penalty or not and the department of player safety uses a plinko board to determine if they do anything.
I went fishing for confirmation bias in B.C. last summer. All I caught were an old boot and a piece of truck tire, but they looked like confirmation bias to me because that was what I was expecting to catch. So I went home happy.

Tensions are high, but I hate seeing threads like this.
'Joke of a league' makes this look like 'Joke of a messageboard.'
How about:
"The NHL Video Review Process is Inadequate: Reasons Why"
"Video Review: Video Review needs Video Review"
I can do this all day.
But a thread title like that? It makes people enter under hostility and you're not going to generate meaningful discussion.
Its like fishing for confirmation bias.
It's not just the review process. It's the quality (or lackthereof) of officiating and the inability for them to be held accountable for their terribleness. They are bad at their jobs.
Team was up 4-1 lock down time flood the neutral zone and keep them to outside when in the zone. They failed on both of these. After 2nd goal GG needed to call a timeout and re-stress this.
