Scoring Winger

I think Johnny will get much more opportunity at home, watch Gulutzan look for better match-ups for him. Sure would like to see him shoot at every opportunity, he has got a hell of a wrist shot.
Flames got this, both games were within reach, this is our turf now. So pumped!
That being said, if we let in a soft goal in the first 10 minutes I might smash my TV tonight. Been wanting to buy a 4k anyway

Nah, I'll let it slide this time
That was meant to be an "agree to disagree" statement

At his height, weight and game style (shifty offensive winger that likes to pass first) ... he's never going to just take over a game the way the star centers do. To me his good games and his bad games come down to how often he tries to force things that aren't there.
He's played within the game largely since December which I think says a lot about the coaching.
He'll get his looks, and with that will come production.

If Johnny's never going to take over a game like the star centres do, then the Flames need to go get someone who does.
I disagree that he can't, but any team that dreams of contending needs a guy who can be a game breaker every night.

Johnny isn't a centre. He isn't paid like a star centre.
How does Patrick Kane take over games? It's certainly not by physically engaging himself in the corners.

He was taking over games last season though.
We signed him thinking that he had that ability so I really hope it's still there and he's just having an off year.
Not many teams can contend (if any) without a game breaking superstar. If thats a hole the Flames have to fill than that's going to be a big ask.

Is there any word on the terrible officiating we can expect tonight?

You have my word, guys. If the Flames win tonight Apu will unmask the big-headed Spider-Man, revealing his true identity.

Scroll to the bottom and there you go. Looks like it will be Marc Joannette and Gord Dwyer. No Banana Peel or Chris "no see" Lee.

Apart from obviously wanting to see a Flames win tonight I just want to see discipline, especially in key moments and late in the game. Both games have been within reach but those mental mistakes were huge. Those Ducks are beatable and tonight marks the comeback!

If the Flames are going to win a game in this series, than this is the one.
Back in 06-07 the Flames were down 2-0 to a really superior Red Wing team and won both home games to eventually force a 6 game series.
This group definitely deserved a better fate in game 2, and was good enough to hang around in game 1. Hopefully they start a 4 game win streak tonight.

Relax, the guy is in his 3rd pro season and is 23. He lead the team in scoring even though he missed 10 games and his performance over the course of the 10 game win streak is a big reason why the Flames are in the playoffs to begin with. His line is actually performing quite well and he definitely isn't to blame for the losses.
Right now, at this stage of his career and development, he's having a hard time playing in such a physical and punishing series. If the Flames were playing the Blackhawks or Sharks or Wild or whoever else, he'd probably be the game breaker you're thinking of. Once he fills out a bit and is in his prime, he'll be better in these rough and tumble series.

Hope the supervisor gave it to them for such a terrible performance.

One unlucky bounce doesn't change any of that.

Plus he's already injured Vatanen and crushed Silfverberg through 2 games.
