The whole sensitive debate sure has come full circle. Now those who dislike sensitive people are easily triggered by them.

The masks were mentioned by Elliot Friedman after the last game. He noted that Crosby was destroying them and handing out the masks would do nothing but encourage him and the rest of the pens. I'm certain there are people offended by it, but I'd wager they have very little to do with the ultimate decision.

This. Obviously the PC police stormed in and stole everyone's fun.

I would be offended if the Flames did a crying Kesler mask. Not because I'm worried Kesler or men that cry might feel some personal offense to the mask but more because it's just a bad idea. Calling it the low hanging fruit would be a compliment. Pull any marketing student who made it to a couple first year classes into the promo meeting and they will have 5 or 6 ideas better than this.

I have no problem with getting the crowd involved to poke fun at the other team but at least make the idea good. An arena full of people wearing dumb masks probably accomplishes the opposite of whatever they were trying to achieve.

So true. People throw that term around so much that the definition seems watered down now.

Personally, I don't like the idea of those masks. I'm not a Crosby fanboy or anything, but don't make things so personal.
