i don't think the teams has been bad... unlucky? yup. Undisciplined? definitely...

but maybe a couple of tweeks wouldn't be the end of the world just to change things up for game 3...

i think putting in Lazar is a no brainer, and even Wideman, as Bart looked really shaky out there tonight...

Yeah the only bad part of that video is that it got out. It was obviously a private conversation that went public and shouldn't have but we all know SN sucks. And yes I know it was on cbc but SN runs the show.

I don't think anyone gets disciplined for that leaked audio. It's obviously off the record, and they're saying is way more tame than what's in this thread.

They need to shake the lineup up. I'd like to see Lazar if he brings speed and hits. Someone needs to bring that toll taking physicality. Ferland put fear into the Canuck's D and gained momentum and energy. This team desperately needs someone to do that now. They aren't getting enough with current lineup.

Make life harder on Gibson. Get on top of him and get some greasy goals. They aren't generating enough. It seems like they are chipping and chasing a lot but with little possession.

I think Johnny should play right side on PP, he just seems to create more there. I thought on the whole he played better (as with Backs).

Its not good enough so far.

Okay, well I missed the initial posting furor but I have read the thread and... wow. This was a full-on CP meltdown. Kudos to the posters who managed to keep a hold of some perspective and even some optimism.

Short and sweet thoughts:
-Sucks they lost, thought they were the better team by a wide margin on the play
-Backlund was way better and obviously it makes a huge difference
-Elliott stood tall, but he's has to steal a game at some point here. No softies.
-Gaudreau's confidence must be in the gutter right now... compare his decision to pass that opportunity up to the goal he scored to tie the game a couple years ago. He's THE GUY for the Flames. He'll get back there, but I hope it happens in game 3.
-Ferland was great again

I'm so goddamn excited for Monday. The dome is going to be insane. Hopefully the Flames can carry on their good play, clean up the undisciplined play that has hurt them so much, and get a couple of great goaltending performances and head back to Anaheim all tied up and on a roll!

Goal should've counted. Gibson tried to corral the puck with the blocker but pushed it into the net. There was no interference that caused thst or prevented him from grabbing it on the other side.

How the refs get suckered in still by Perry and Kesler, who was looking at the ref while flopping after a judge in the back from Brodie is a disgrace.
