When the league gets a chance to bend this team over and decide the outcome of a game by waiving off legitimate goals, I imagine a room full of men looking like this...

Does anyone remember when Gretzky went off on the officials in the Olympics against the Canadians? He was as angry as I've ever seen him, and it definitely changed the tide.
I see this as Gulutzan's attempt to shift the officiating towards the Flames after Murray shifted towards the Ducks with his "Giordano is a dirty player" BS.
A very craft move by the coach. I'm sure Burke will happily pay the fine.
It's become so obvious the refs seem to have their own agenda. I hope the Flames organization takes on a few more fines. They have every right to be pissed when the refs keep playing the same broken record!
The only call I had a real big problem with was the costly one by Hamilton on Perry. I thought you either don't call it, or you call them both - holding AND interference. Anaheim are probably the best in the league at using picks, and the refs rarely call them. Brodie's penalty at the end was definitely a penalty. They are going to call that one every time, and Kesler doesn't even need to embellish it.
Anaheim is an opportunistic team that got lucky tonight. Flames I thought did 'fine' the first game, and tonight they were the better team without a doubt. Sometime you lose games that you are supposed to win. The silver lining is that they are outplaying the Ducks. The series isn't over.
I have been very critical of Brouwer lately, but I thought he had a good game. I can see why Gulutzan is using him seemingly too much - Flames are having a hard time on the draw. I am not a big fan of his game, but he is playing well enough that you have to keep him in the lineup for his faceoffs alone.
Feel bad for Bouma. Just an unlucky bounce. You can see how upset he was at it.
Flames just need to play exactly this way again at home, and they will win. They out-skated the Ducks, and won a tonne of puck battles - more than I thought they were capable of doing against the Ducks. Flames just need to wear them down. Ducks are starting to look like a tired team - a fricken' lucky team, but a tired team nonetheless. If I am Gulutzan, I am telling my players to finish every check on Lindholm. He is the last key cog left on the decimated blueline.
I like how Monahan is starting to look effective even with Kesler draped all over him. That's goals in consecutive games for him.
Flames just need to stay a bit more composed, but I thought they did a MUCH better job in that area tonight than in the first game. A much more mature team. Just a few instances where I thought they lost their composure, but this is also on the refs as well. If you aren't going to call something early on in the game, then don't call it halfway through the first period.
And please, start calling those picks. This isn't basketball refs. They are blatant interference penalties that the Ducks have gotten away with for years now.
Goddam it, your posts are always long, but you are always the voice of reason. Thanks.

Good question. Also, when are the players that aren't playing well going to be held accountable?
Bartkowski shouldn't see another minute. Brouwer should literally be sent home. He's just terrible and his only good trait is being big and being able to screen the goalie but he hasn't deserved a second of pp time.
Versteeg has out played pretty much the entire bottom 6 and a few guys in the top 6 including Frolik and Tkachuk. As bad as the reffing has been, a lot of the team hasn't shown up.
Versteeg and Brouwer's salaries should be reversed.

Most media would be downstairs at this time. The only people in the booth post game would be ball, Garrett and producers, or maybe the stats guy. I heard wills in the gulutzan presser so it wasn't him. It certainly didn't sound like Loubardias who might have been hanging around as well.
Honestly dont think Lou has ever said a bad word about anyone ever. Loves everyone.
Stop drinking and stop not getting sleep which was your excuse for your ragasim in the last game. It makes you come across like a complete fool.
Your comments have little to do with actual hockey and everything to do with coming across as a ragetard.
What a ridiculous post in every way. I was up at 3:30 am to work my 11 hour shift and I stayed up to watch the game. And if you'd actually read any of my posts and used your brain for, you know, reading comprehension, you'd know I was 18 months sober, and that my "I'm too drunk to call you more names" comment was facetiously directed at the posters on here who are too braindead to accept opinions other than their own and who resort to name calling and telling people to leave. Another poster suggested most Flames fan are just sad sacks, but I'm thinking more along the lines of God complex.
Is there honestly anything there that isn't on point? I don't know about the intelligence of Brodie, that part was offside. But taking that penalty with 3 minutes left in such a high stakes game is moronic, selfish, and deflating.
If they had a microphone in every Flames fans living room there would be much, much worse.

]You're claiming the series is over as if we are losing 4 or 5 to nothing[/B].
And a loser mentality from players? Bad bounces and dumb mistakes are all part of the game and happens both ways. The Ducks just capitalizes on those opportunities.
The joys of hockey is there are different ways to win and honestly anyone can, especially in the cap era. Show me a team in the playoffs that are winning 5-0 every game.
You're acting as if they don't play hard or try to win, when they were clearly the better team today.
Are we taking dumb penalties and making bonehead plays? Yes. Are the Ducks a more skilled team? Definitely, but this isn't the NBA where the top team can go all the way every season.
Loser mentality? Cmon, that's what makes your post embarrassing. It's a game of milliseconds and split second decisions.
Take a second to actually absorb the game and look at it with a bit of objectivity.
It dose not matter how many you lose by 1, 6, 4 ,10... A loss is a loss.
Broke my remote after that third goal...haven't done anything like that in at least 10 years.
That's the thing about Anaheim. Yah they have been statistically the better team over the term of this "curse". But it's not like we get totally dominated. Tonight, like several other of these 29 straight losses, we were the better team. Just like Game 1, this game came down to a handful of key mistakes or bad bounces. Over the course of a regular season or a playoff series, those things tend to even out. For some reason, it does not ever "even out" in that building.
I'm pissed about the reffing, the inexplicable non goal, Elliott's softies on the first two goals, Johnny not shooting the puck (!!!!), and Bouma's brain cramp own goal. But what really burns me is the complete lack of puck luck in that god forsaken arena.
I would never speak about a player like that in a broadcast booth. Even if you're not working, mics are right there. It's just dumb.
You're really naive if you think that this has never once happened before in all the NHL games that have been played. The difference now is that some degenerate decided they would pounce. Maybe one of these guys crossed them and they decided it was payback time.
Either way it is beyond low from the standpoint of backstabbing a colleague and creating additional drama the Flames don't need right now when this undoubtedly gets back to the team.
