Flames deserved at least a split.

Ducks are team with more talent and skills. Its not luck or stupid play or refs. the whole game there was no player or line able to go through midzone with puck possession. monahan, lots of people like him, he's not bad but he's no top line center that you win playoffs games with. our skilled guy is a boy that is very limited due to his size and strenght. ducks were getting into our zone easily with no pressure on puck carrier. the second period again ducks played half gas and we were unable to take advantage. skilled team would do.

Exactly, this game is a perfect example of why I haven't spent a cent on anything NHL this past season; the frustration level watching is altogether too close to the entertainment level... and the former is often higher than the latter.

I'm probably done with NHL hockey after this year. Not because I'm angry at the Flames or don't want to be a Flames fan or anything like that. The Flames are part of my life in terms of being around since this team moved to Calgary back in 1980.

I'm probably done with the NHL because the league is just not a professional league. The officiating is atrocious and has been so bad to the point that its effecting competitive balance on a game by game basis.

I'm probably done with the NHL because its a game that now punishes physical play, and I'm not talking about fighting.

When something becomes really aggravating to watch and you expect that the product is going to be harmed or damaged in some way night in and night out by the league itself, then maybe its time to stop watching.

I had a friend who was a hockey fan for his whole life, he bought jerseys and flew out to Philly to watch games, and I hadn't talked to him in a while. But I had coffee with him the other day and I was going to give him some friendly trash talking about his team, and his response was simple.

"I don't care, I stopped watching NHL a couple of years ago, and I don't even miss it"

I'm at that point.

I feel the refs were just waiting for the right opportunity to give the Ducks an advantage. The goal waved off sure they didn't want to tilt the series and give the Flames any favors.

It's not a curse. Just very stupid players and a dumb coach who doesn't know how to manage lines in the playoffs.

Bartkowski isn't an AHLer. Just terrible. And Hamilton now with back to back terrible games. Cost us the game. Idiot

They were the better team in the last 5 minutes, and that's all that counts. Good teams don't take stupid penalties that cost them playoff games

EVERY MISTAKE ENDS UP IN YOUR NET.

That being said, I am proud of how this young team is playing with the Ducks. They will learn. The series is only half over at worst.

Also, brutal thread title.

Hard to beat Anaheim when the Ref is their 6 player. Time to bench Hamilton, way to many bad penalties. So infuriating.

Flames have their PhD's in beating themselves, that's for sure. Two games that a very stupid mistake cost them.

It'll be over soon.

I thought the team played well. Gaudreau generated chances and had a nice assist, Brodie was great, Bartkowski played about as good as you can expect from a 6th Dman, and Bouma was physical and got robbed of a goal by Gibson. I still think the Flames can come back in this series.

Yah, Brouwer was the problem tonight............holly ####.

Elliott can be as amazing as he wants all game long, you can't give up 2 sive goals in a playoff game. Hamilton has looked lost all series then takes dumb penalty number 2 in the end of the game to cost just the another one.

Flames were significantly the better team, has to give you hope they can win their home games, but they are literally have no more room for error. Can't get any bad bounces, can't make any more mistakes, they have to play well all night long.

Really really frustrating loss, they deserved better but a couple of weak individual efforts cost us. I've been a big fan of Hamilton's, but that's two in a row, I'd actually sit him next game.

Gibson had come out of his net and had the angle covered. Johhny passed thinking he could catch Gibson out of position. Watch the replay and you'll see what I mean.

If anyone wants to bring that loser Brian Elliott back next year that should be the end of that. He single handily costbis about ten games at the start of the year and couldn't stop a beach ball tonight in the first period. Give me Ben Bishop please.

Sure, two soft goals opening the game were obviously the difference, no doubt. But man...you're in the slot with the puck on your stick... Shoot!!!

They are a young team I'm more disappointed Brodie took that selfish penalty and took away the chance to tie it up. I was thinking I hope the Flames don't play stupid and get a penalty with minutes left in the 3rd. And....yup. They are young and it may take a couple years to play playoff hockey for 60 minutes. Guess we shall see what the Flames do at home. I just feel like this series could go 7 games. It doesn't feel like the Ducks are on the verge of going 3-0 or 3-1 in this series.

OH, an OP, you shouldn't put this loss on any of those players. Bartkowski and Brodie were fine, but Brodie caught on a Kesler dive. Hamilton was good and got caught on a Corey Perry dive. Gaudreau could be better, but had a good game overall.

And DON'T YOU DARE put that last goal on Bouma. He did his job and a terrible bounce from the HIGH SLOT managed to get past Elliott. Shame on you for putting that on Bouma.

If you want to hate things, hate the despicable players on the Ducks and the ridiculous luck they get in their building. This game was all Flames outside of those two factors.
Bouma is garbage. He should be in the AHL not because of that deflection but because of the game he played before that. I hope I never see him in a Flames jersey again. My hate for him is worse than Bubba. When Matt Stajan is the toughest guy on the fourth line you know you are done.
