LOL!!
And of course there is the mandatory "i am outraged" responses to it....which in return has the newspaper pulling the whole thing.
More PC bull#### interfering with something that harms absolutely nobody and allows people to have some fun with their sports team.

Yeah, I thought it was a pretty lame idea but I didn't see the harm in it. Not for me but if it makes things more fun for people then why not?

It has nothing to do with "harm" or being "PC". The paper has an image that affects how is perceived and this is fairly classless.
Doesn't affect me one way or the other, but if their readership doesn't like it, well...

I highly doubt its "their" readership...in fact i will wager it isnt.
So yeah, it is about being PC and in what world would a caricature of an opposing player you are battling against in the playoffs, affect their "image" and has absolutely zero to do with "class?
That in and of itself is just more political correctness nonsense. Not surprised mind you.
The paper was trying to fun with a playoff series in their hometown...nothing about that seems over the top or harmful or anything else that would require a response to scrap the whole thing.

Wow we've surely swung another direction since 2004 when 19000+ people chanting Ricci's Ugly was good times. 2017 and you can't even say he's average looking cause that would butt hurt average looking people.
