Why didn't Rask hang on to that first shot from Phaneuf? It was in his glove!
I root for the B's (a distant second to the Flames) so that was disappointing, but what I really want is for all OT games to go on for hours no matter who wins. That's the best part of the playoffs.

Strange play eh? Sens had a lot of momentum going. He could have ended the play.

That Bob Cole call on the third Ottawa goal was classic. Gave me shivers down my spine.
He makes plenty of mistakes but he's still the best out there in calling a game and keeping it exciting.

Damn, missed that. I've been watching games on NBC as there's so much raving on CP about it's superiority to anything Canadian, and honestly I don't really get the hype.
The commentary, the on-ice sounds, the picture quality. None of it comes off any better, imo. Except the crowd noise, actually, now that I think of it.

The crowd noise is the main reason I like NBC better.

They always seem to turn the crowd noise up when he is calling games makes it sound alot better.

It's really insane that it's an almost unanimous want from hockey fans to the point where many will go American just to get it, and it's quite literally a volume setting in a truck, but CBC/Rogers has refused to budge on it for years.

Yeah exactly. They had a ton of momentum (they had hit the post twice) and the PKers had (I think) been out there a while and Chara out of the box meant they probably had three defensemen on the ice. Really strange.

So the rest of the Canadian teams, after falling down the first game, have come back to tie their series.
Flames? You're up. Please?
Edit: Never mind I forgot about the Laffs. Still Flames. Please?

Rask didn't play that puck, he bobbled it and instead of it dropping in front of his net he decided to try throwing it as far as possible.
The camera view from behind the net shows him bobbling it.

Wonder why the refs are calling some of these games so tight (ie Flames/Ducks last game and Caps/Leafs tonight)? Haven't they heard of playoff hockey?

I disagree. It was a careless play by Chara and he was penalized. Players used to intentionally lift the puck over the glass as a way to relieve defensive zone pressure all the time, and it was awful. This infraction is a small price to pay for the elimination of the practice.

Wouldn't be surprised if the refs were instructed to call Ana/Cgy close because if the Fowler/Gio incident.
The Leafs series is probably because of Tim Peel, though I haven't seen either game.
