Nah... they brought me back just to peeve you. Anyway... the Flames were a mirage all year. They lost in the beginning of the year when the good teams were trying, and they won in the middle of the year when the good teams were bored, and they lost again in the later part of the year when the good teams were trying again. And people on this site are all pretty, reasonable, level-headed gentlemen.

Now #### off. 'Sad and pathetic', my ass. It's posts like this which drag this forum down. You aren't helping anyone or anything.
You're absolutely right, I retract all my previous statements and opinions and submit fully to yours. The Flames are not only Stanley Cup contenders, but they are the favourites. Clearly, finishing 7th in the conference and 15th out of 16 playoff teams makes us the odds on favourites. It's unbelievable that we haven't already swept the Ducks. The league knows we will win the next four, and we meant to win in Anaheim tonight, and also the last 24 times, so they might as well just expedite us to the second round now, because that effort pretty much makes up for 11 years of "oh, so close. Maybe next time". Maybe even just hand us the Cup tomorrow. Elliot is the best goalie in the word, Monahan and Gaudreau > Toews and Kane and we will go 16-0 to win the cup, since we're not counting that first loss anymore. Also, it's always okay to lose, as long as you try hard. Annnnd it's my bed time, I've been awake since 3:30am yesterday.

There are 7 games in a series. You are not out of it until you lose at home.

Game 2 will be better. The Flames can win this series.

Under 3min left and no timeout called ???? If so inexcusable as a coach you want to make damn sure everyone is on the same page.
It is not the only reason they lost but it one of the signuficant reasons. The amateur moment of tge coaches calling all 5 players off the ice at stupid time and the lazy skate back by all 5 players that was absurd.
The play with the timeout was to not let the other team rest their guys. The PK'ers would be working harder than the PP's, so let the exhausted guys stay on.

Also, the coach doesn't force players to come off. If you watch the replay, the players didn't skate to the bench, they coasted. Also, they should have been aware that the play was coming back so one guy stays on. That was entirely on the players.

He's not a troll, he's just a sad man who has wildly overreacted to a single loss to one of the best teams in the league and it clearly took him over some sort of edge. I really think deleting his account would be best for his mental health. Sports are supposed to be fun dude.

Accusing me of being a perennial optimist, what a laugh.

Jesus, there is no middle ground with you people, is there? The Flames are either a dynasty or a tire fire. The latter also being an equivalent for your posting quality.

One things the ducks did well was obstruct the for check. So much borderline interference it was crazy. Kudos to them for playing that way, flames need to find a way to generate pressure on the ducks d.

I'll agree that the ducks will use the streak as incentive to beat the Flames.

But no, I don't think the players have it weighing on their minds. What do guys like Brouwer, stone or Bartkowski care about the streak? They just got here and have all won in that building before. What does Tkachuk care? The streak started when he was learning how to read and write. I'm sorry, I just don't buy that it's this great weight on the players minds and that it will never end or that we should believe it will never end. It's a streak that defies logic and it will end.

Flames got pounded in game 1 of the 2004 playoffs

Ducks are a legit cup contender, sorry for not jumping off a bridge because we lost to them by one goal after gifting them the tying goal

just gonna leave it at that...maybe the Ducks are a better team, they are a legit, seasoned cup contender

Calgary is still a young team, and tonight they beat themselves as much as the Ducks beat them

Okay so you all hate me right now but despite this illiterates take, the Ducks DID obstruct the Flames Meagre forcheck and unless they can find a sollution to that... they are cooked.
