Refs really evened it up at the end. Hamilton was bad.

Totally the kind of play I expect from Kessler at the end there. Zero sportsmanship.

But we lost that game on a casual line change and zero urgency in the third. Someone tell the Flames they're in the playoffs.

No Hamilton, the team's best defenseman, on the 5 on 3 is baffling and inexcusable. Just a mind boggling coaching move.

If I never see Brodie on the PP again I'll die a happy man. And yes, I know his keep in play led to our PP goal. But he is absolutely terrible at gaining the zone.

More than that, way way way to casual. Especially from Hamilton. Need way more from him.

Only saving grace is if we smarten up we might have a chance.

The 5 on 3 was the tying goal on a platter. A very disappointing 90 seconds of hockey.

Great back and forth game. Sure, you'd like the Flames to clean it up (too many mistakes, too many careless penalties), but that was a great game to watch on entertainment factor alone.

Reffing was as brutal as usual, but the Flames didn't help matters any - bitching after every missed call and then taking stupid penalty after stupid penalty after stupid penalty. Need more discipline for game 2 and for the love of glob, enough with the arms-up-headshake-at-the-ref-while-the-play-goes-up-the-ice move. Not a bad game other than the stupidity. Nerves hopefully.

Getzlaf is the best player in the league when he plays the Flames.

I feel like Hartley had a better feel for his players than Gulutzan. Ferland was the most dangerous forward in the 3rd but he doesn't touch the ice on that power play.

Could he not tell that Ferly was feeling it?

My god, Flames. What a waste. Had such a great game going for half the game and then gave it away at the end of the second. And then no energy for 3/4 of the third. Blargh!!!

Complete losers. Embarrassing.

5 on 3 and they could not would not set up. Screwed themselves. The have have no excuses for that.
And once again Brouwer should in no way be in the PP.

Flames lost that one for themselves. Ref's were brutal, calling penalties against one team and ignoring the same calls against the other all night long. That said the Flames kept taking stupid penalties knowing they would be called. Lack of discipline, lack of intensity for half the game and general stupidity cost them the game.

Better shape up for the next one because that score flattered the Flames.
