Flames will win this series and it will be a long hard fought battle with officiating, opposing fans, trolls etc
I love being the underdog . ANAHEIM chanting you can't win here.
We need something to shut that the Fata down.
They are banged up and missing regulars and we need to target top guys and keep them guessing.
Yeah the hacks, slashes, crosschecks, spears ,face washes and spears will be tough to take but hey fellas....keep those fata'ing elbows up in the corners and we'll be okay.......fight fire with fire right?
I hate to say it or think it but we can be our own worse enemy if we don't try and at least match the bs you know Is coming.
The ducks are the most dirty and retaliatory team I've seen in a while but if we stick to hockey systems and discipline all while making some thing good happen with our special teams I see 6 or 7 games deciding this.
I hope we can somehow work in guys like F Hamilton , Lazar, Hathaway as each of those guys brings a little more speed and tenacity to match what the ducks will bring. These guys have an edge over Bouma, Stajan, and in some cases Chiasson.
It's TIME.......Go flames Go

The Flames have shown during the head to head games this year that they are the better hockey team. Only after the games turned to shenanigans did the Ducks take over.
Saying the Ducks are better top to bottom is laughable.
The Flames can win this series. But they need to get that first win and get over the hump.
For me, this series comes down to the first two games in Anaheim - get the split and I think they win the series. Don't get the split and the mountain is too big to climb.
Agree - Flames need to limit the shenanigans, remain disciplined and take fewer penalties than the Ducks. If they play their game with speed and quick passing they can wear the Ducks down and will force the Ducks to take more penalties.
Johnny better do something to protect his wrists and fingers though.
So badly wanted a Battle Of Alberta for the opening round. Everything was going right, even had Iginla setting up the GWG and getting his 1300th point but the Ducks just had to effing come back. All said, I still think the Ducks were the worst possible match up for the Flames...ok second worst, Hawks would have been terrible too. Ducks in 5, though I hope I am wrong.

Glad they're doing the usual single day off, not multiple ones off usually done for TV purposes. Though this series is at the bottom of the totem pole for Canadian and American TV broadcast networks, which is probably why there are no special considerations.
Plus Mon/Wed works better personally for me than Tue/Thu. Next up, broadcasters....
